Love Aruba, but very quiet in September. Divi Village is great, but food at Bistro is not. Mulligans overlooking golf ... course is much better. Golf is also excellent there. Infinity pool is best on the island.

A wonderful relaxing honeymoon!
Honeymooners from Oregon Aug 5, 2009
Long flight = not wanting to deal with various car rental places at the airport. Upon giving up we found our hotel to have a ... Hertz car rental on site. How convenient to have the jeep we rented 10 feet away for pick up and drop off. No hassle required! We were even 20 minutes late on return and the lady was very friendly and did not give us any complaints. Room service was very thorough; dishes, towels, beds, everything was clean and refreshed after a long day on the beach. Could not have asked for a more well rounded hotel for relaxation and a kind staff and other wonderful guests to mingle with. =) We met some other couples who were back for their 9th and 10th trip! If I had to add any recommendation it would be for the rooms to be a little more updated/spacious. No problem what so ever, because hey, we're in Aruba so life is on the beach and exploring in our jeep! We were in a studio room so maybe that is why it was a little smaller. Great price tho, great service, clean, and well air conditioned! I would recommend it to anyone who seeks pure relaxation and convenience. I never once felt that I had to go "out of my way" to do anything or go anywhere (including getting ice, doing laundry, beach, clean towels, car rental, money exchange, etc..). The list goes on!

Having a small, yet full kitchen allowed us to buy groceries for breakfast and lunches. Many grocery stores within walking distance or a short bus ride. We learned milk only comes to the island on Wednesdays and Sundays... and there isn't any left in between! =)Not a big deal, but good to know. Room service washed our dishes and cleaned our kitchen daily. What a real vacation! Also, don't leave without renting a jeep to explore Arikok National Park and the other side of the island. It was amazing and a great time! There is also the option to go with the guide in a jeep tour. Either way its worth it!

Great Hotel
Student May 28, 2009
I had an amazing time at this hotel..For the price, it could not get any better than this. The hotel room was very spacious ... and had a full kitchen. The service was very prompt and friendly. The beach was so quiet that it felt like we were on our own private beach. The only problem that I had was that this hotel is not that close to many things and you either need to rent a car or always take cabs to get places. It still was a fantastic place.

Aruba vacation
the turtles May 20, 2009
I felt that the room was nice. At first we were placed in a sudio that was small and smelled like mold, when I stated that I ... booked a one bedroom suite they immediately changed the room to a beautiful one bedroom with a view of the ocean. They could not have been more helpful after that. The elevators were a little slow but they had sent notices about this. The resort was quiet and most people onthe beach were older and reading all day.

I felt that this resort was close to the grocery stores and to town. It is a hike from the high rises but close to everything else.

It's okay
Mary G. May 18, 2009
Location is great if you want a quiet place to hang out with friends. We were able to avoid the "meat market" scene and trips ... to the high rise area or downtown were a $9-$12 cab ride. Mainly older people, families, and couples. The room itself was spacious - it had a kitchenette, good-size bathroom, and a patio with sliding glass doors. Fake flowers and plants were weird, and something about the room caused me to sneeze and have a stuffy head for most of our stay. The staff is super-friendly and the golf carts shuttles made it easy to get around the resort and to the supermarket. The resort looks really big on the map but it's not nearly as big as it seems. Mulligan's had good food and good portions for the price, especially compared to the other restaurants at which we ate. The bar food by the smaller pool was okay. Make sure you get recommendations from locals about where to eat. We picked a restaurant on our own one night and it was some of the worst food all of us had ever eaten. (So skip Salt and Pepper!)

The hotel is very nice, but because it's primarily timeshares, housekeeping seems to miss a day here and there. Go see ... "Jimmy The Singing Bartender" at the Ocean View bar across the street, he's excellent!

Great hotel

The Room at the Divi Golf Resort was large with a Kitchenette, King Size bed and a couch and chair, we even used the porch ... quite a few times to eat outside and play cards and read our books. The weather was perferct in the 80's with a breeze and I walked every morning down to the Divi Divi and back. We loved the large infinity pool in the back. There where always enough lounge seats at the pools everyday....May I suggest you bring face cloths when traveling to the Divi Golf because they do not have them available.

Very comfortable stay
George Jun 21, 2007
My wife and I were very pleased with the Divi experience. The room was spacious and we had a great view of the golf course ... and ocean. The staff was friendly and dedicated to making our stay very enjoyable. It was our first visit, and we were glad we chose the Divi Resort. It offered a more private use of the beach than the other hotels closer to town. We plan to return soon.

Divi Village
Lisa Jun 16, 2007
We were a little disappointed that we couldnt see the water from our room, which was on the 2nd floor.. but our room did face ... the water. We had a one bedroom tower room with a living room, with a dining area, a kitchen, half bath, full bath with Jacuzzi tub and bedroom with a king sized bed. There was also a balcony that you could get to from the bedroom or living room. We were satisfied with the size of the room and the fact that we had a kitchen that we were able to prepare meals. The Jacuzzi tub did not work properly which was disappointing. The staff was very friendly and the room was cleaned daily. One of the pools was closed due to repairs, so it was a long walk to the other pool by the golf course. We liked the fact that you could just tell the waiters at the restaurants or the bartender at the swim up bar your room number and they would put it on a tab to add to your room bill. We had to check out at 4:30 am due to an early flight and didnt have too much of a problem. Overall, enjoyable stay.

Great dining options in the area: had your normal American fast food as well as our favs Moomba Beach The Buckineer, and our personal favorite, Amazonia, a brazilian steak house where you didn't have a menu and gauchos brought around 16 different types and cuts of meat... a little on the expensive side, but definately worth it.
