Not a bad stay!
Mandy Oct 26, 2009
I was happy with the service and cleanliness of this resort. There is some noise from passersby, but you're going to get that ... anywhere. The bus system and checking in and out (and basically doing anything at the office) is really slow, but you're not going to get away from that on Disney property. We had a very nice stay here.

There for a conference but extended the stay for a small vacation with my wife. Property served both purposes ... excellently. The property is a bit dated but is comfortable and clean. Easy access to the parks when you want to go and a few steps from the pool and beach when you want to relax.

Nice Price
Disney Jerm Oct 20, 2009
With Disney you know you getting what you want and with a smile. If you are planning to do just a day trip, stay and take in ... all that is Disney. The grounds at the Carribean Beach are spotless and everything is well manicured. I live about 2 hours south and had originally taught about doing a day trip. Glad I didnt and relaxed for a minute. when thinking about staying around Disney take fifteen dollars off the price since thats what they charge for parking and all so calculate the time spent on a ferry across the lake since Disney resorts drop you off in the very front of Disney.

Good family resort.
Beach Family Aug 17, 2009
The hotel was clean, the staff was helpful, the pools were great. We enjoyed the ability to do laundry while at the pool ($2 ... a load per wash or dry). Convenient to the parks - although there seemed to be fewer buses at the parks for this resort than others. The rooms were on the small side for 4 people. The food court was average - very 'fast food' - seemed to be mass produced and reheated - tired of it quickly. Overall - a good value for the money - just be prepared to find different spots to eat.

Too big for it's britches
KY Family Aug 11, 2009
We immediately checked in to a room that did not have the "water view" we paid for. Upon going back to resulve the issue, we ... were told that Orbitz had not booked it correctly, and they were sorry. Whatever fault there was in the booking--it didn't mean we needed to pay for the mistake, and they decided to give us another room. We had to wait 4 hours for a new room, and we had to initiate contact with the office to continually ask if a new room was ready. We were tired, hungry, etc. and they would not allow us to even know where the room would ultimately be, or put our luggage away, etc. The hotel seemed to be an example of what happens when Disney is trying to be more than it can handle. The massive hotel and staff caused continuing inconsistencies, frustrations, and miscommunications. Go somewhere else for a nice, uninterrupted Disney-level vacation.

Kim Jul 20, 2009
My only complaint about the hotel (and Disney) would be the food offered at the cafeteria-style restaurants. We did not rent ... a car for our vacation so we were pretty dependent on the food at the hotel and Disney parks. Extremely disappointed in the food. Not to mention the outrageous prices they charge for the food. The whole family could not wait to get home and have a decent healthy meal.

We stayed in the Jamaica section and found that it was conveniently located to the food court, which is a short walk over the bridge. Also, there is a side exit to the property that you can use to avoid the traffic on the main road, however, you cannot enter the property through this gated side-exit.
--John, Sugar Land Jun 19, 2008
If you stay at a Disney resort, they will ship gifts purchased back to your hotel (not necessarily your room as they say). However, make sure to do this at least a day before you leave as they deliver it the next day, so you can't do it right before you leave.
--Dan, Appleton, WI Jan 28, 2008

--Colleen, Winnipeg, MB Sep 23, 2007
Epcot was the closest to this resort. At night we could sit on the beach and watch the fireworks from there. Downtown Disney was alot of fun and that is nearby as well. You can hop on a shuttle to any of these places and not have to worry about the traffic.
