Went to Downtown Disney and Epcot. We didn't know that the International Food and Wine Festival was going on at Epcot until ... we got to the park. If we had been given the brochure either at check-in or upon entry into Epcot, it would have been much better.

Gorgeous, classy, wonderful!

The staff are always available and will jump through hoops for guests. It's amazing. The hotel is clean, beautifully ... maintained, nicely decorated, and in a prime location. There are two pools - a "quiet" pool, which is very relaxing, and a bigger, more noisy (but very fun) pool. The only complaint I have is that the mattresses are kind of hard (but they're not harder than the average hotel mattress). Also, you should definitely book through Orbitz. This hotel is very expensive, but it's worth it if you book this way - I saved almost 33% and got prime treatment.

If you're staying at this resort (or any resort) for Disney World, rent a car instead of taking the shuttles. The shuttles are always over-crowded, slow, and aggravating. It's much simpler to drive. The BoardWalk also has a ferry available for transportation to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT - that's also a nice way to travel, and it's generally a little faster than driving.

Great Hotel

We had a wonderful room-fifth floor-and could watch fireworks in Epcot on Balcony-overlooking gardens---even though we had ... booked through Orbitz standard room@ a good rate--friendly staff-self parking is free--Boardwalk has so much to do-ate @ Spoodles--and The Flying Fish-both good--room was large enough for 4 people-we were charged $50 more per night for our two adult sons-would have given hotel 5 stars except the tiles around shower had some mold--and glass door needed cleaning--lounge on lobby floor had coffee, continental breakfast for a good price-coffee-@$2--we could walk to Epcot and Hollywood studios--then take boat back to the Boardwalk--PERFECT location-hotel is good for all ages--
