The Discovery Bay was not what I was expecting. We checked in after the designated arrival time however our room was not ... ready. We later found out the room was not ready because they were doing touch up painting in the room. The paint was still wet when we entered the room. In addition, the room (and patio) were flooded. We requested another room and moved that night. Our second room also had large amounts of water on the patio. The one bright spot was the food service and staff. We thought the food was excellent. They had live music several nights during the week. We stayed in this location because of discounts and the location on the West Coast. Yes, it was walking distance to Holetown but so are other places. We've stayed nicer places in the past. Next time I'll cough up more money to stay elsewhere.
