We didn't spend much time at the hotel but the time we did spend there we enjoyed. We liked our room. It was clean. The ... free breakfast was really good. It is only about a 10 minute walk to disneyland. There is a 7-11 next door, which was nice so we could get drinks and snacks before we headed to disneyland. There is free parking at the hotel which is also a big plus. There is also free internet in your room you just have to plug in to it. The pool was cold. We had hoped since it was November and the pool was outside that they would have kept it warmer. The hot tub was good though.

Excellent value
Inger Nov 13, 2009
Great location--10-min. walk to the Disneyland entrance. I would have given this 5 stars if they had used butter and real ... eggs in the breakfasts. It's decent of them to offer protein, which costs more and is often absent from hotel breakfasts (except milk). But the eggs, which tasted like they were made from powdered eggs, and margarine kind of took the glory off the breakfast. Tasty sausage patties though! And I'm grateful for the oranges.

Good location... Bad service
Lolo Nov 9, 2009
The location was great. We walked to Disneyland every day and it took less than 10 minutes. The hotel itself offered a good ... deal on paper... kichenette, free breakfast, free internet, pool/hot tub, fitness center.... but there was major construction going on. The water was shut off the first day we arrived, and the construction lasted for the next 4 (maybe longer but we left). We had no advance warning of this and nothing was offered to offset the inconvenience. The staff didn't smile one time during my 5 day stay, and they were not very helpful or accomodating. I'll just say it... they were rude! The ventilation in that place may not even exist, it was so stuffy. The lobby is clean and pretty, but the rooms and the "suites" are nothing to brag about. We had dirty linens left on our floor from housekeeping, the door frames had some kind of dryrot, the mattresses were uncomfortable and stained, the AC was broken, and the TV made a loud buzzing noise on most of the channels. I will say that the pool was clean and decent sized, but it was a very awkward placement and the grounds surrounding it were way too small for the amount of people. The elevators were incredibly slow, and the free breakfast was about average. All in all, if it wasn't for the amazing time I had at the Disney parks, my family and I would have considered this vacation a real downer. Next time, I'll stay at the Hilton across the street!
Traveler type: Family
The hotel offers a $4-a-day shuttle service, but the walk from the lobby to the entrance at the Disney parks is a 1/2 mile walk and probably less of a hassle than paying and waiting for the shuttle.

Our Halloween vacation stay
washington disney travelers Nov 5, 2009
The room was ok. We were on the second floor and in the morning there were diesel delivery trucks outside the window of ourm ... room that were left running and the noise from them woke us up. I didn't like that we had to take 2 different elevators to get to breakfast and get to the room. The breakfast was terrible. It was cold, the orange juice was watered down, the coffee was bad, and there was not a very good selection to choose from. The walk to disneyland was alot more than the 10 minutes we were told. It took us 20-25 minutes. We found out later there was a tram to disneyland but we were never told about it. There is no view from the room except for a concrete wall. There is also a 7 dollar a day resort fee that we were unaware of until we checked out. Also they charge you 1 dollar a day for the use of the safe in the room. The pool is really small. There didnt seem to be much room in it.

Our Disneyland Trip 2009
Jello Nov 3, 2009
The hotel was quite nice and very clean. The pool was very small and even though it was open air it seemed indoors, which ... did not appeal to us, but it was quaint. The front end staff were fabulous and very accomodating. The hotels boiler had gone done and there was no hot water. This could have happened anywhere and we were conpensated accordingly, but the compaaion from the fron end was outstanding. The location was great and the fountain outfront is lovely.

We go to Disneyland from Alberta every fall and the greatest tip we ever got was to buy our own groceries. We always stay at a hotel with a fridge and a free breakfast, make our own lunches and splurge on our suppers. For a family of four to eat out for breakfast and lunch costs about $90 a day and over a ten day trip thats $900!! I enjoy spending that $900 I save in park shopping and at the Anaheim Market Place. Not everyone wants to make lunches, but for 15 minutes a morning and $900 I would make a lot of lunches. Because we have found money saving ways to travel we are able to go every year, for some people Disneyland is a once in a lifetime trip for us tradition!!

I went to this hotel for a conference at the Anaheim Convention Center, but while I was in town, I decided to spend an ... additional couple days at Disneyland Theme Parks. The hotel is the perfect location for both the conference center and the theme parks. It is within walking distance to the Anaheim Gardenwalk as well. The lobby in comfortable, cozy, and looks brand new. The room was very spacious. The breakfast area is much larger than I expected and there was a variety of food available. The staff is all very helpful and courteous!

Very friendly staff, small but quiet pool and hot-tub, right next to Disneyland. The rooms we stayed in were apparently the ... result of a remodel that opened two rooms into one. Two sets of shower and tub in individual bathrooms, two bedrooms iwth two queen beds each. Perfect for a large family group. Fill the backpack with snacks and water at the convenience store next door on your way to Disneyland, and you'll save enough to pay for the room.

We had great room service. After a long day at Disney, our rooms were made up for us to get ready for a good nights sleep. (a ... stay at the 4.5 star Mandalay bay hotel in Vegas could not even provide that) The pool and whirlpool were good enough to freshen yourself up with. The free morning breakfasts could have had a healthier variety of food. i.e Yogurt even? It was not far to walk to Disney parks and convenience store were right around the corner for things like bottled water and snacks.

Not so good Honey Moon experience
Unsatisfied honey mooner Oct 17, 2009
We booked a suite with a one King Bed. We were provided a Suite with two beds and a cradle. We got married that day and our ... arrival was at 3AM; therefore we expected to be perfect. this experience was horrible. Since we were already tired, we did not complain; however after a few hours there were too many children running down the hall and too much talking going on. We did not get a good rest. Since this hotel was somewhat high end, we expected to have water bottles in the refrigerator, however, it was empty and we had to buy our own water. Compared to other hotels we have stayed, this hotel is not worth its price. Overall, our trip and honey was not enjoyable. I will not recommend nor go back to this hotel.

Don't turn on the heaters!
Disney Traveler Oct 14, 2009
[...]The whole "room tax" thing seems like a HUGE scam to me. Greed. It's what our state is run by.Anyway, the hotel itself ... was okay. Good location for Disney travelers. The room wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. HOWEVER, there is no way to open the windows in the room we were in. I don't know if it's just rooms that face the street or what, but there was no way to get fresh air. Also, since we traveled right around the time that it started to get very cold in the evenings, we were not happy to find that the maids had left the AC on after cleaning the room. We got back from a long day in the parks and the room was FRIGID. We decided to turn on the heater for a little while to counter act the cold, and were greeted by the WORST smell that we have ever encountered. It was like something crawled up in the unit and died. And since we couldn't open a window, there was very little we could do about the smell. We called the front desk, and they sent someone to look at the unit. He told us it was just dust because the heater hadn't been turned on for a long time. How did they solve the problem? They sprayed some air freshener. That's it. Some air freshener. We asked to be moved to a different room because the smell was so bad. We were told that they had no rooms available so we had to deal with the smell.

Don't bother taking a bus to get to other attractions that are further away from the hotel like Universal or Knott's Berry Farm. In order to do so, you have to wait for a bus, then be taken to a bus station in a different location, wait in another line to get your bus pass then be put on a different bus to be taken to your destination. It's a lengthy process and the bus drivers don't seem to be very informed on attraction operating hours. (We had to wait over an hour to return to our hotel after Universal closed.) Do yourself a favor and get a cab or a direct shuttle.

Convenient and clean
SF Visitor Oct 14, 2009
Similar to the majority of guests who stayed here, we were visiting Disneyland over the 3-day weekend (Columbus Day). Got a ... decent package deal with a rental car. Arrived Sat. at approx. 10 a.m. hoping to be able to check-in. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Was told the room was not available as guests don't check out until 11 a.m. They told us at that time that we had received an upgrade. With the promise of upgraded accommodations, we happily took our luggage back to our car which was in the underground parking lot. We left our car and walked to Disneyland. Granted, the hotel is located at the end of the block (Katella and Harbor), but it took us about 15 minutes to get to the front gate. The walk seems short in the morning, but at the end of the day it feels like its miles to the hotel. It is a safe walk. We returned to the hotel at 3 pm. The decor in the lobby was nice and welcoming. In contrast, the common areas on the other floors was very bland and the lighting was dim. When we walked to our upgraded "suite," you walk into a room with 1 king bed. The room is small; barely enough space on either side of the bed - there is also a dresser, a tube TV and a desk. This room was adjoined by another smaller room that had a plasticky-feeling sofa, a bunk bed and another TV. Between the 2 rooms was the closet and bathroom. Have to say that the room was poorly designed and not well thought out primarily to the poor noise insulation. The main sleeping area is close to the front door / hallway which means that you hear EVERYTHING in the hall from people talking and kids running up and down the hall. The adjoining room has a glass door which does little to shield out the TV noise or ambient light. The most annoying thing about the room was the bathroom fan which used the same switch for the bathroom light - meaning that the fan would go on whenever you turned on the light. It was a loud and powerful fan and I have to say that the mirrors never fogged up. But for those who use the bathroom in the middle of the night or early in the morning when most others are still asleep, you cannot help but disturb their sleep. Also, our room faced the inner courtyard which was where the pool was located. I didn't appreciate the noise coming from the pool area until much later that evening when my son could not sleep because of the yelling/screaming of kids playing in the pool. At the end, he moved into our room and shared our bed. Breakfast was average - scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, some pastries/donuts, a hot cereal/oatmeal, juice, coffee, milk. We ate there the 1st a.m., but skipped it the 2nd a.m. Certainly, for a family, it is a big money saver. They also charged us for a "resort fee" which I did not recall seeing on the travel website. I don't know how they can justify the fee as I did not feel like we were at a resort. Pros - relatively convenient location (we used the tram service the 2nd day); free parking; decent pool and friendly front desk staff. Cons - poor sound insulation; loud bathroom fan; average breakfast; noise from the pool (maybe a room facing the park would be a better choice); payment of a resort fee.

Our first room was a little noisy. The very next day they transferred us into a better room at our request. The staff was ... very helpful and polite.
