Lovely Room in Nice Area
Anderson Nov 6, 2009
The hotel is a short walk from the Angel Monument, which is centrally located on the Paseo de la Reforma, near the U.S. ... Embassy and high-class hotels. They have remodeled most of the rooms and we had a remodeled room which was lovely. I would suggest getting a high floor as the street noise can be loud at times. The hotel is about seven blocks from either the Insurgentes or the Sevilla Metro. Don't use the hotel taxis, unless you want to pay triple the regular fare. Regular taxis in Mexico city are cheap and convenient before 11pm. At late night, you must agree on a fare before you get in, or you will get ripped off. The Zona Rosa, which is just south of the Angel is very gay-friendly area and the boys are lovely. So get used to it. For romance, Mexico City and Paris are it.

Location, location, location!
Carlitos Jul 6, 2009
Everything went so smoothly! The check-in was quick and easy. The room was very clean, plenty of storage with a safe in the ... closet to lock up valuables. Breakfast buffet was inlcuded and was very good--hot dishes like eggs, chilaquiles, pancakes, rolls, etc. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The best part, though, is the FABULOUS location. You are right at the heart of all the action. Whether you want to go to the San Francisco gym, see a movie, walk around the beautiful gay district of Zona Rosa, or eat at any of the many delightful restaurants, everything is within 5-10 minutes walking distance! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Del Angel Hotel 3/6/09
ASB Apr 22, 2009
I've stayed here several times, and the service is always attentive. I like the room safe, and the location. Its fairly ... easy to hail an inexpensive independent cab, the hotel cab is way overpriced. There are many restaurants nearby, and its a quick hop to upscale Polanco. Hard to beat at the Orbitz price. Good value.

Best Concierge Service for Your Money
Minerva Sep 1, 2008
Del Angel has the best bell boys in town. They were able to help when my luggage was lost and get us anywhere we needed to ... go. The prices they got us for our taxi's were unbelievable. The room was ok but the beds were horrible - it was like sleeping on a concrete slab. Considering the room was only used for showering and sleeping, the bed was a real downer but the shower was wonderful - talk about water pressure. Location is wonderful as well - walking distance from everything!

Excellent location but very dirty
Marcela Jul 8, 2008
The location of Hotel Del Angel is excellent because it is located right in the heart of the city. Unfortunately, my room was ... very dirty. The carpet was damaged, stained, and stinky. It was so filthy that I requested another room but the receptionist informed me that all carpets were in the same condition. I got a double-bed room and I could not sleep at all because both beds were so hard that I got back pain. If this hotel were well-maintained and, most importantly, clean; it would be a perfect deal. I was looking for an inexpensive and clean hotel, but my expectations were not met at all.

Del Angel is a comfortable hotel with extremely courtious and helpful staff from the reception in. Whilst the decor is tired ... it is kept fresh and clean by the attentive housekeepers. The bar area was under construction on our visit. It is ideally situated for all amenities. First class restaurants are only a few minutes walk away. The many historical attractions of the city are only a few minutes in a cab.
