The staff was very pleasant and kind. I really enjoyed the location....very close to stores and restaurants. The Hotel's ... food was very good. Nice large pool area. They ran out of valet parking, so I had to park my car in a lot 7 blocks away. Kind of a pain to wait for their shuttle everytime I needed to get to my car. However, the good stuff out-weighed the bad stuff. I would definitely stay here again.

I love the location however this hotel needs a facelift no microwave oven no fridge and above all no parking was available ... you had to park approx. five blocks away get up at 8am every morning to feed a parking meter that is horrible when you plan to sleep in.

The Good and the Bad
Angie Oct 16, 2009
We enjoyed the beach and the pool. The most upsetting thing was that when we pulled in we were not allowed to leave car while ... checking in, without leaving the car keys. You can't expect someone to leave car keys with someone you don't know. Then we found out that there was no parking unless we went 5 blocks in either direction with a 1.00 an hr charge. or Meter parking, also costing more money. We did however park in a residential area, but walking back to the hotel from there in the dark late at night was uncomfortable. For this reason, unfortunately, I wouldn't stay here again, nor would I recommend it which is a shame, because I really liked the Hotel.

Keep low expctations and you'll be fine!
Nick Oct 15, 2009
We arrived at 3pm. THe first hotel clerk said that we would have to wait until 4pm to check in. If you have an early flight, ... please be prepared for this. Also the A/C in the room barely worked! It was Hot in there. I live in Maryland, this heat was a mother!! with a poor quality a/c unit, which in found in all of the units. The place needs renovation badly. Get ready for the 70's.The price was very good for being right there on the beach, and They know this!! That's why they won't renovate and they keep the price low. Also, if you're renting a car, get ready for some drama There is no garage at all, the valet parks all of the vehicles in frot of the circular driveway. They are all on top of each other, so if yours is in the middle, you will be waiting for quite sometime for them to remove all the vehicle for yours. Also, even though you're pre-purchasing [...], the hotel will still be charging you an additional $10 a day, and they will be taking a deposit out from your visa for incidentals. If you don't have any incidentals, then you'll get your credit back in a week or so.

North Beach close to supermarkets.
Toni Oct 5, 2009
It is a nice place to stay if you would like to be near supermarkets. It is located in North Beach so the hussle and bussle ... of South Beach is a bus or taxi ride away. Valet parking is very limited as they park the cars all on the ramp of the hotel for $20 a day. Street parking is available in Beach lots for $8 a day but have to buy ticket for display by 8AM daily. The rooms are average and aged. The pool was great but they close it at sunset. If you dont return the towels by 6PM you are charged an additional $15. Overall, it is a cheap place to stay with a wonderrful view and pool. A good place to stay if you don't need the amenities most newer hotels offer.

Tim Sep 27, 2009
Well to start off it wasn't too bad but I've had better. We were told we would have an ocean view and we did except it was ... about a mile away down the beach. Next I was told a king bed and ended up getting two doubles which I could deal with because it wasn't that uncomfortable. It was also advertised near south beach that is over 15min away. Also we had to get 4 sets of keys because they kept not working. On a good note the poolside bar was awsome and the pool was clean.

Decent but Plain Hotel
Dynobishop Sep 10, 2009
Hotel was decent, bed was comfortable. I liked the Pool arrangement, more importantly close proximity to beach. But, there ... was no variety in food, hotel was too plain & poorly illuminated and the guest entrance to the lobby was used as a car parking lot, mostly at night and morning, which made checking out or checking in pretty difficult as the mace of vehicles in the drive blocks entrance/exit making movement difficult.

infamouzfay Aug 25, 2009
the experience was good. i had a really good time. The only thing i didn't like, was that they closed the pool area and the ... access to the beach at 10 o'clock. to access the beach you needed to walk around the hotel down 3 blocks to get to the beach after 10pm. and the hotel rooms needed to have at least a microwave!! (i didnt like that, espically when you have little kids) but other then that everything was good.

parkless in Miami Aug 24, 2009
Needed a late check-in and when I pulled up to hotel the valet parking was full. Was told that I had to find my own parking ... on the street with the meters. No parking garages anywhere near and had to drive around for over 30 min looking for a spot. It was a Saturday night and very busy. Single female and had to walk with bags in the dark a couple blocks to the hotel. Had to get up and put 2 hrs of coins in meter starting at 8am Sunday morning. Also should know that you will pay $20/day valet if they aren't full and also a $10 resort fee per person/day and I didn't even have a chance to use the pool or go out to the beach. They did give me a full ocean view room that was very nice...!!??

Deauville "DUMP" Beach Resort
Belle Aug 2, 2009
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for a relatives wedding whose reception was held at the hotel. I read the awful reviews ... and thought "it can't be that bad". This hotel was actually THAT bad. If you have to stay at this hotel, I recommend paying a little extra for the rennovated rooms or going somewhere else. Unfortunately for us, they ran out of rennovated rooms. I think I've seen cheesey hotels nicer than this place. There's a required $10/day that they tack on to your reservation bill for towels, using the safe, internet. Our safe did not even work. We called to get it fixed and no one responded, as a result, we ended up just putting the "do not disturb" sign on the door the three days we were there. The hallway smelled like paint or chemicals which made me worry. The walls are paper thin. When we flush the toilet it already looks like someone peed in it. The iron didn't work. They only gave you a bar of soap and a conditioner shampoo. As for the pool, though it's open until 9pm, they make you return the towels at 6pm which didn't make sense to me. The beach and pool did not have a lifeguard. Oh, some of the channels on the tv didn't work. The tile on the bathroom floor was loose. The bed just had two white pillows and a thin white sheet - nothing else. I don't know how this place stays in business because it's just a horrible place. None of the pictures online resemble the actual hotel. The valet parking which they make you pay $20/day is REALLY slow. Everything just looks really old in this hotel. As for the wedding, the food was only ok - they actually ran out of food for the guest even though the family paid extra for unlimited food. There was not enough room for cocktail area so people ended spending a lot more time waiting for the food than actually eating it. The hotel staff were not very helpful - most of them spoke Spanish and didn't understand what we were asking. I normally don't write reviews but after staying at the Deauville Beach Resort, I was compelled to write one to prevent others from wasting their money and save them from an awful time.
