Couple Getaway

Upon arrival, the cards would not open the room door. After the second trip to the lobby to re-scan the keys, we asked for ... another room. The shower head was not working properly, the floors still had sand and dirt from previous occupants, refrigerator had empty beer bottles in it. The balcony had a beautiful view, I would pay for the balcony, but not the room again.

WOW is all I can say. Only thing that can be considered bad about this hotel is the room we stayed in is average. But the ... view, the pool, the balcony, the view, and the location are outstanding. Two great restaurants with in walkin distance both are cheap and good food.

If you visit Shell Island via the state park's service, be prepared with sunscreen. There is no shelter of any kind and also no restrooms of any kind. The tour boat runs every hour and it is a long walk back to the point of pick-up.

This makes the second year we have stayed here. We enjoy the location as well as the friendly staff. While there we shopped. ... walked on the beach, visited the St. Andrews State Park, and enjoyed eating out.

Days Inn in a great location, but be prepared for a "college party town." Even off season the hot tub and pool deck were full ... of drunk students most of them not even staying at the hotel. We were not even able to use the hot tub because it was always packed full. Security is not enforced making it very frustrating for paying guests. If you are looking for a relaxing quite vacation, this is not the hotel for you.

Location, location, location....... The absolute best thing about the stay here is the location, all rooms face the ocean and ... the view is spectacular! The rooms were clean and very comfortable, even if the exterior hallways were a bit run down looking. Check in was fast and friendly, and the staff was very accomidating. Will definately be booking my next panama city beach vacation at this hotel.

The location of the hotel (ocean front) was perfect. We could sit on the balcony and watch the beach/ocean and the people. ... You can just walk down the stairs and right onto the beach. The pool was beautiful. The beach was clean and the water was beautiful shades of blue and green. The water was amazingly clear. There are shops and places to eat that was just a short walk away from the hotel. We will definitely be returning to the beach and this hotel for years to come.

The location was good had view of ocean, but it left a good deal to be desired. Motel was old & tired . Lights didn't work ... well & something was always missing when they restocked. One time it was wash clothes another time cups weren't replaced. Will not stay there again

Bad experience at the first time. Manager made fun at my last name, (not a friendly attitude). Service with a "don't care" ... manner. Room is dirty, especially the bathroom had water leak above the bath tube ceiling. It's yellow fluid, very nasty. Breakfast serves poorly, no egg no sausage. Toast only with coffe....Poor...!!!

The first room we were given was pretty run down and the internet was not working. After a call to Orbitz to see what our ... options were,they contacted the hotel manager and he was extremely helpful. He walked me around the property to find the best wireless signal and moved us to a room in that location. The second room was very nice and we had a great stay.

FIRST OF ALL - CHANGE WILLIE TO JOE HALL. Or advise how to set up an account using Joe Hall. Dont know where the Willie came ... from. Was impressed with Days Inn staff keeping place clean. Room was clean and well equiped. i.e., bath supplies, towels, microwave, refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. Was also impressed with room being equiped with room purifier. Never had that before. Continental breakfast was plentiful and pastry fresh.

We enjoyed the pool and the beach. We were to believe that the room came with a full refridgerator, but only the dorm room ... type. The towels were sparse and we were always asking for more (family of four at the beach-yeah, you do the math!). The staff were friendly and the location was great, but they didn't have disney or cartoon network for the kids. Overall, a below-average to average place. Nothing too spectacular.

Pier Park is about 3 miles west. Sharky's Restaurant is about 2 miles west. Both are great places. Pier Park for shopping/dining/and enterainment. Sharky's is a great place to eat with open-to-air tables and live music. Great food too!

The hotel was great for the price. My family has gotten used to staying in condos when on vacation, so going back to a hotel ... room was difficult. Other than that, we really couldn't have asked for more for the price. We drove all night to get there, and arrived eight hours before check-in but were allowed to check in early with no problem whatsoever! The pool, pool bar and music were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The last night of our stay, we had to change rooms due to a leak, and the manager upgraded us to a larger room, which was unnecessary but very much appreciated.

In order to go anywhere at a decent pace, head north on one of the N/S roads to either hutchison blvd, or the back beach road. Much better selection of restaraunts, and convenience stores, walgreens/cvs, walmart, and much easier travel without riding with the cafe bikers.

If you have kids or not there is a great Go-Kart track a few miles from the hotel called Hidden Lagoon Race Track. The prices are great and the track is so much fun. I recommend it to anyone looking to have some fun!

Snorkeling on shell island- I took a tour for 30 dollars per person on a catamaran - really fun--however, found out afterwards there is a ferry every 30 mins to shell island that is much cheaper than the trip.
