Not Clean..Not sure it was worth $37
PiXiEMoM Nov 1, 2009
It took the staff, who barely spoke English, about 20 minutes to get us checked in. Our room was filthy. The carpets were ... gross and there was mildew everywhere in the bathroom. It didn't even smell like bleach like it had been cleaned well. The shower wall had streaks of dirt/grime everywhere. I'm not really all that fussy, but this place was pretty gross. I didn't see any bugs, but it wouldn't have surprised me at all. I'm really not sure it was even worth $37...which is extremely cheap for that area. The location was nice, very close to I-4 and right across the street from Wet N Wild and Universal.

Horrible, Horrible Horrible
tania Oct 31, 2009
This is absolutly the worst hotel i have ever been to in my life. upon checking in we were put in a horrible room where the ... paint was coming off the walls, idk why they had safe boxes cause you couldnt lock it or anything. We arent the type to complain so we dealt with it. But when the fire alarm system began beeping every 15 seconds because of a low battery it got very annoying. We called maintenance to come and fix the problem. THEY NEVER came. So, we went out hoping that it would be fixed when we came back later. Around 12:15 we came back to the hotel to find out that we were locked out of our room and the keys wouldnt work, we went to the office 4 times to fix that problem and it never worked. Finally a staff memeber desided to give it a try, and it still did not work. So, we had to wait 45 min for one of the staff members to try to break into the room with a screw driver. which he broke in half while trying to open. After a good 25 min he finally broke it open so we could get our belongings out of the room. They moved us to another location which made it better, but the fact that it took so long to get into my room was horrible. In the new room i decided to take a shower to only find spiders in the tube. My boyfriend killed them so I got over it. But after the shower when I went to get my food. There was a COCKROACH inside the bad of my food. nasty. I went to bed furious. I knew when i wook up i would speak to the manager of this nasty place. When i finally go a hold of the manager all he could tell me was that its not a 100 dollar plus hotel so i shouldnt be suprised. REALLY? idiot. he gave me my money back after much complaining. But he didnt seem to care about how are experince was, just the fact that the hotel is not more then 100 dollars so i guess to have insects, doors locking you out, and no battery fire alarms is not expected or required for a hotel under 100 bucks. :( dont make the mistake of staying here.

If your looking for a resort hotel, this is not it. But if you are looking for a clean room and a comfy bed to sleep in then ... this is a great hotel at a cheap price. I stayed here while attending a convention at the Orlando Convention Center. The I-Ride trolley stops right in front of the hotel and and takes you anywhere on International Drive for 1.25.

Marmaduke Oct 26, 2009
When I read the comments about this Days Inn I was expecting to find the hotel leaking from the ceiling, customers running ... around screaming, and the staff to ignore me. But this was NOT the case. For around 40 dollars a night, the accommodations were above-average. Hot water, clean rooms, little shampoo bottles. The location is excellent, right on I-Drive. The downside, noise could have been an issue. We were along the inner courtyard, where walls were paper thin. If there had been more of a night life on Thursday night, it's safe to assume you would be hearing things. But hey, its vacation, people are excited and doing crazy things.[...] if you're doing your tourist thing and want a nice place to sleep, this is a good place. If you want room service and a wakeless sleep, you might want to try somewhere else

Biz traveler 3564 Oct 22, 2009
Read a review that posted after I had booked that frankly scared me. But the place was just fine for what it was. Don't ... expect a 4 star hotel [nor will it cost that much]. Clean and slightly worn like a grifters buick. Florida flavor. I had a room in the tower that had a view of typical central Florida. The people at the desk were very helpful, replacing a broken phone in minutes.

When I booked this hotel I booked it because it was cheap. I figured it was only one night and I was just going to be there ... to sleep. Heres where the problem lies, I got no SLEEP! Sounded like they were emptying the garbage at 2 am, by 7 am some man that worked there was back and forth in the hallway with some type of barrel that was so loud! Which he continued up and down the hallway until we left. By 9 am housekeeping was trying to come in my room if the latch wasnt locked she would have walked right in on us. Not to mention people outside at all hours of the night. So for the price the place was ok but the outside noise was ridiculas. Next time I will defintely consider spending a little extra for the added comfort.

This Hotel was nasty. The room smelt very bad and many bugs every where. I think they were bed bugs. Beware do not book this ... hotel. I went back to ask to have my room changed and Waited about 45 mins wile the Manager with the Lip Ring and Mo Hawk Ordered Pizza. After the girl told him the problem he avoided me and did not even look at me. He KNEW OF THE PROBLEM AND DID NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. We saw bugs everywhere.. Bathroom Bed sheets, Pillows. This PLACE GETS A HUGE YUCK.. NEVER EVEN THINK ABOUT BOOKING HERE. I will be contacting corporate about this. I could not belive the disrespect I was given. The one girl said would send a guy to spray?? Spray what the sheets??? SO then I sleep in Bug Killer Spray. The bugs were nasty.. Something I have never seen before, They were very small and I am pretty sure they were bed bugs... YUCKKKKKKKKK. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE EVER!! DON'T EVER BOOK DAYS INN THEY ARE NO GOOD. I Will NEVER EVER BOOK A DAY's IN HOTEL IN MY LIFE. I Will now do anything I can to let everyone know of the bad experiencing I had with DAY's INN. This was a business trip mixed with a 47 year military reunion at another hotel. Motel was quiet and enjoyable but did not ... like additional service charge of 3.50 per day and the pet charge of 15.00 per day although they reduced the pet charge to 10.00 per day after some haggling. The room was great for the price. I was kind of hesitant because of all of the bad reveiws I was reading on this hotel. But ... I was always taught to see for yourself. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The airconditioning ran well, ice machine was working everytime I went to it, and my key worked everytime execpt once. Overall the staff at the front desk was friendly and I had a wonderful stay. I really enjoyed the pool also. I will definetly stay here again.

The DAYS INN ROACH MOTEL & SLUM
Business Man that stays at a lot of Hote Aug 24, 2009
I was away for a business convention when arriving Friday night the TV wasn't working properly and the toilet was broken ... which I asked to fix and it never was done on Friday, Saturday then On Sunday I was given a NEW Room that had NO AC, on the bed was a broken dresser drawer and the TV had a HOLE in it as well as Roaches that were EVERY WHERE! The Hotel staff was NOT concerned about any of this and I ended up going and getting a NEW HOTEL for the end of my stay because the place was DISGUSTING! I Travel 25 weeks out of the year and this was not only a taxing addition to my trip but it was an over all horrible hotel that I would suggest is condemned and burned.
Traveler type: Business
Its Orlando so there are THOUSANDS of things to do being a tourist location but as I was there for business I did not have much time for sight seeing.
