Hotel lobby as you walk in is very shall we say shabby. Furniture is all very tired and somewhat dirty, knicked up and just ... plain tired. Checkin was fast but hotel charged card $25 for incidentals. We got in the smelly old elevator and it sounded as it would not make it to the 4th floor. Got to the 4th floor and paint was peeling on walls, carpeting was worn badly and it smelled heavily of smoke. Light bulb out when flipping switch at door. Room smelled heavily of smoke. Again furniture very worn...but beds were clean and fairly comfy. Careful with small children as we were 4 floors up and large windows open full width and children and adults could fall out if bumped! Bathtub had cobwebs above it, and bottom of tub was dirty and peeling, not sure why. I wouldn't even get in shower. Also the wall paper was peeling...Very old and nasty hotel. Also there were spots on the ceilings, not sure of what. Would expect better from a days inn. Have stayed at many over the years and this is the first one to leave a bad taste in our mouths. On the plus...Close to falls and attraction, 2 blocks to the casino. If we planned on being in our room more than just to sleep we would have gotten a refund and went somewhere else..but we went to a concert at casino and stayed there very late and walked back to hotel, slept and got up early to leave. Also the lounge was closed when we arrived back from hotel at midnight.

The hotel is in a great location, since it is within walking distance of the Niagra Falls State Park and all attractions. The ... area, however, is run down, and the hotel needs a lot of work. Parking can be difficult at times, since they are reconstructing the underground parking lot.

Great location.
jckbar Aug 28, 2009
One good thing about this hotel is the location. Almost everything is within walking distance. The down side was the noise of ... generators that ran all night long at the snow park next to the hotel, and the rooms were not the cleanest. Another good point is that it was nice to have Dennys so close; however, they seemed a bit pricey.

Aubrey Aug 21, 2009
The staff was rushed, had fake smiles, and never made eye contact. The room was a decent size and comfortable but was old, ... run down, and had a dirty feel to it. The halls smelled of cigg. even though we requested a non-smoking room. The staff at the in hotel reserant Denny's were very rude. On a positive note the pool was very nice, and the beds were very comfortable. I would recomend this hotel only if it's for a short stay.

"Serious Updates Needed"
K Aug 19, 2009
Being so close to The Falls was great, but it seems that the businesses and hotels on the American side of the Falls rely ... totally on the Falls to keep their businesses going, putting none of their resources into upkeep, maintenance, or the surrounding areas. The Falls were beautiful and so was the Park, but beyond that, the American side is totally rundown, and with the tourism dollars that are brought in by t he Falls, there is so much potential. The businesses, including Days Inn, need to invest in the future. The hallways in the hotel smelled like cigarettes. The carpets in the public spaces were not vacuumed well. The parking garage was half torn up, with pipes and debris laying everywhere. The pool was too small. The area immediately around the hotel was somewhat rundown. The American side of Niagara Falls needs a serious facelift.

You have to go to Cave of the Winds and the Maid of the Mist. If you go to the Canadian side, pick up the Adventure Pass; it's a great deal and includes transportation on the People Mover.

nycdap Aug 16, 2009
The service here is pretty friendly. I liked the fact that Denny's was the hotel restaurant, as we were not subject to ... overpriced continental breakfast that some of the nicer chains have. The room itself is big. I would have liked more amenities. The room isn't very clean. There was a film of dust on the bathroom hairdryer, on the TV, and the floor was not vacuumed. But, can't complain since we did not wake up with any bug bites! : ) The location is amazing. 5 minute walk to the Pedestrian Bridge to Canada.

really worn out and tired
Kim Aug 15, 2009
hotel was worn and tired and in need of updating; nearby helicopter tour caused loud noise during day; no/limited air cond. ... in hallway and elevator; only 2 elevators for entire building; no fan in bathroom; old fixtures/toilet seat; very few ice machines; got no answer when I called front desk; slow housekeeping service; Denny's Rest.not so good; free coffee "to go" for hotel guests but no covers provided to fit cup; Room was clean; Location was convenient; Save money on parking when visiting attractions; most within walking distance; Just a so-so experience overall; Outside major attraction area in vicinity, the area is quite depressed economically-at least on US side.

BK Jul 21, 2009
bad customer service. Rooms are in quite a sad state, Batroom was not that clean, with exhaust fan not working!! But one ... interesting part was, one staff member did certainly tried help us getting a better room and tried this on his computer atleast for 15-20 minutes. But could not get us a better room saying, my booking is done through Orbitz (pre-paid reservation) and he cannot update it to other room type. mentioned me that orbitz is the problem!!!

Aida Jul 6, 2009
The hotel was very conveniently located near the falls. The park was only a walking distance from the hotel. Nice pool and ... the Denny's downstairs was very convenient also. On the negative side, the carpets were very dirty and some updating needs to be done. The parking was ok, but there was way too much construction going on. I think the price was a bit too high for the quality of the room that you are getting.

The hotel is walking distance to the falls and the seneca casino. That is the only thing it has going for it. Firstly ... there's an entrance to Dennys in the lobby. The lobby was packed with people coughing and looked like a hospital waiting room upon arrival. The elevator buttons were all broken and the carpet was soaked with god knows what... The elevators and hallways smelt like death. The bedding was starchy to the consistency of cardboard and i got a weird rash from using the bath towel. They even demanded my room keys upon checkout. Also the parking garage looked like world war 3, scattered with tons of trash and about 200 used mattresses and other abandoned hotel furniture. My girlfriend laughed at the fact that miraculously my car was still there and undamaged upon departure This hotel was absolutely disgusting and I am ashamed to have stayed there.

The niagara falls is a short walk (10 mins) and you can leave the car at hotel in the garage and save some $10 near the falls. Durimng season you do not get parking on the roads also and this is a major advantage.
