Good Price, Fair Accomodations
Nana Nov 16, 2009
Visited the Neptune BeachFront which was absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect. Cleanliness of rooms carpet spotted ... and in need of update. Very poor WIFI connection iffy at best. Size of room for 4 was small. No way to get fresh air into the room especially since the weather was so refreshing.
Traveler type: Family
The reasonable price for the accomodations was highly recommended. However, the price on my receipt is 50.42 for the accomodations and the cost to my Visa card was $69 plus change what is the reason for this difference. Please respond so that I can understand how your system works for a possible future use of your site for reservations. I would recommend this hotel with reservations because of the upkeep of the premises.

This Days Inn was a short drive to the beach and night life. And a short drive to the Mayport Naval Base. It's pet friendly ... and the grounds are clean considering that. The floors are title for pet purposes too. The only thing that is odd is that the first floor hall is extremely long, so it's a good walk for the cont. breakfast. We and our dog had a nice stay.

Our Stay at the Neptune Beach Days Inn
Mr. Kitty Oct 29, 2009
We had a very enjoyable weeks stay at the Neptune Beach Florida Days Inn. The people who worked at the front desk were more ... than helpful especially since my wife and I are both handicapped. We did have some problems late at night with about 10 workers staying in a large pickup truck outside of our window - lots of loud Latin music. The front desk guy [...] had that stopped. The maid came each day cleaned and made the bed. The only problem I had with her was that she was talking on her cell phone while cleaning. I tried to tell her that my wife does not like her sheets tucked in but left open. She looked at me, smiled - said " thank you " and continued to tuck in the sheets and blanket, then she left.

Ocean front is only about a half of mile away with ample free parking. For some reason, the Atlntic Beach city fathers have put all of the handicap parking spacesot are placed furtherest away from the beach access ramp.

If you want to shop you will have many places to choose from. There are many stores and shopping centers near the hotel and just a short drive from it. The only thing we did not like was the traffic but that's a part of life. Other than that, you will have no problem finding a place to shop!

We arrived at 2:00 P.M. and our room was ready for us and when we opened the door to our room we were so happy. It was so ... clean and spacious and had a microwave and refrigerator and right outside our door was the ice machine and pool! We loved our stay and when we come back we will definitely stay at the Days Inn again!! The front desk man was so nice and courteous and also the free breakfast is awesome!!

A Short But Pleasant Stay
Savvy Traveler Aug 24, 2009
The free continental breakfast was of surprisingly good quality with many options. Most mid-range to economy hotels wouldn't ... offer one, let alone one with so many choices, so that was a pleasant surprise. The girl at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. The gentleman the next day, not nearly so helpful. We asked if we were in walking distance to an address. "Less than a mile" he said, so instead of a cab, we walked for around 6 miles in bad shoes and got some pretty bad blisters. He seemed nice, just a bad estimation, unfortunately. The girl the previous day at the front desk was very pleasant, managing to ask new check-ins about their time in the area, providing a map to the room and genuinely seemed interested in making our stay a good one. I was surprised at the level of customer service for such an economy hotel. Inside, the rooms themselves are a bit humble (somewhat scratchy sheets, not the softest of beds but not the hardest either), but very clean and tidy. Also, you can order room service with quite a lot of options that sound like something you'd find somewhere that was at least 3 or 3.5 stars, but for very reasonable prices ($6-$15 range). I've stayed recently at a Days Inn in Hialeah, FL and had quite an opposite experience from this one, so I found it a very pleasant surprise. My girlfriends and I take getaways together rather last minute and it's the second time we've booked a cheap-o Days Inn. This time, it was a very good call. I did notice at check-in that it's a locally-owned franchise branch, which can be either a good thing or a bad thing. In this case, it's quite good. If you need something cheap, clean and efficient, you won't be disappointed.

The room service food is ridiculously cheap and includes options like gourmet pizza with artichoke and fresh caprese salad. Not what one would expect, but for $6, it's worth checking out.

AWFUL PLACE
Amanda Jul 27, 2009
When we arrived the day shift staff were excellent. No complaints at all about them. Went to room and unpacked everything for ... 3 children and 2 adults. Pulled back the covers to get into bed and there was a huge wet spot on the sheets that smelled of beer. I called the front desk they were very helpful this night gave us another room and apoligized multiple times. I was ok at this point. The next morning everything went well. That afternoon the tolite in our room was not working we called the front desk to notify them of the problem. The guy at the desk rudly said I am here by myself and cant come down there you can come up here and pick up the plundger. My husband had to fix the tolite himself. After this the kids went to the pool and used all of the towles that were in our room. We called the desk to ask for more towels. The same guy said you can come get them. We went to the desk to ask for the towles. The guy huffed and puffed and said OK in a min. I have never in my life been treated so rudly about a few towles.
