This Motel was wonderful
John Oct 4, 2009
We had such a wonderful visit to Charleston. This motel has a great location, clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff. ... The shower was tops, hot and pressure was spectacular after a long day of sight seeing. The staff could not have been friendlier, polite and went out of their way to ask us questions about how they could help!

The Charleston Cafe has the best breakfast I have had in years, even better then what I cook and I cook a pretty mean man's breakfast. the variety of menu items was very numerous, glad my two adult children were with us so we could all sample four different dishes. The coffee was spectacular as was their pumkin spice late. The server was one of the fiendiest, while the entire staff seemed to ensure that all the guest were not going with out. I kind of regret not buying a coffee mug :( You must eat here the first morning, you will not go anywhere else for bfast. While in Charleston The Bubba Gump Shrimp CO was everything I thought it would be and more. The staff were extremely busy but stopped and played trivia and the food and drinks still came out in nearly record time. The run Forest run, stop Forest stop signs were very cool. Go to the gift shop and drop a few dollars, your friends will laugh and think you are so cool. I work in a middle school and thought about all the fun things I could use to confuse the kids and staff. We will be back to both of those dinning estabishments on our next visit, very soon.

The room was always ready when I returned each day. One day I went to a water park and housekeeping was near the room. I was ... able to have her clean the room while I waited and the delay in preparing to depart for the park was minimal. I always had breakfast at the on-site restaurant and the food and service were very good. The room was ready when I arrived for check-in and the office staff were efficient and courteous. Check-out was the same.

Super Fantastic Place to Stay
Mike Aug 8, 2009
We took my Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law to Patriot's Point. We also went on the Fort Sumpter Tour. We have been on them ... both before. We were so impressed with the location of your hotel. It is near everything. We also went to the Cooper River Bridge Park. That was really nice. My Father-in-Law really liked the pier. If we ever came to Charleston again we will definatly pick this hotel. The price and the location was Fantastic. Service was great. Huddle House food was delicious. Thanks for making our trip very enjoyable. We will also recommend to every one. If you are coming to Charleston, don't go to the 500.00 hotels, this one is just as good.

The hotel served its purpose. It was relatively inexpensive, clean, and comfortable. I was doing a lot of sight seeing, so ... I was only in the hotel at night and in the morning, a place to sleep. It had a restaurant attached and a small pool. The restaurant was a good place to eat. This is a good hotel if you are looking for the basics. I wasn't there much so the basics was all i needed.

Wouldn't stay here again ever!
Unsatisfied customer Jul 21, 2009
Where do I start? I booked TWO rooms for our family for July 4th at the Days Inn hotel in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Obviously we ... were travelling together. Our rooms were on opposite ends of the hotel! We were told nothing could be done, but it was obvious that many rooms were not checked into at the time we checked in. There was a garbage can right outside our room which someone had missed with their pizza box. Pizza and other garbage were all over the ground. The flock of birds that arrived took care of that mess. The last straw? The shower in one of our rooms did not work and there was no maintainance staff available until the next morning at 9:00. Since my son had to be at the airport by 6:00 A.M. that didn't do us any good. All 8 of us had to use the shower in one room. When we spoke to hotel staff in the morning we were told they were sorry, gave us a business card, and told us to call the manager the next day. I have yet to speak to him. I have called 4 or 5 times and he is always unavailable. I did have someone return my last call and I explained the situation to her and was told she would speak to her GM and get back to me either later that day or the next morning. I am STILL WAITING!! This was one week ago! I registered a complaint with Orbitz also which went NO WHERE!! I will NEVER stay at another DAYS INN hotel or book with Orbitz again! Their customer service is awful. They have your money and if there is a problem, TOO BAD! THEY DON'T CARE!!!!!!!

Decent value for the area
Budget-minded Explorer Jul 13, 2009
Unbeatable location in Mount Pleasant, just across the bridge from Charleston, and a stone's throw from the Fort Sumter tour ... departure and Naval Museum at Patriots Point. Very decent value for the area, just keep in mind that this isn't the Four Seasons. Can get a little noisy if people are talking right outside/near your room. I had one minor inconvenience (vending machine "ate" my dollar) and one major inconvenience (shower was broken in my room). However, I was only there for one night, so it wasn't the biggest deal.

The motel bathroom and floors were clean, but the cleaning staff should be more careful to check frig and bathroom. There ... was food left in the fridg from the last guests and dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. When they cleaned after our first night stay they did not replenish coffee. The front desk staff was very helpful in giving us tourest information, but when I mentioned the food and towel they didn't offer an apoligy just gave us more towels and there were no washcloths supplied during our whole stay.
