Days Inn @ the airport
Army Mom Oct 31, 2009
The outlet behind the bed did not have a cover on it. The carpets though out the hotel were stained and the 3rd floor just ... smelled. The pool was small, the water cold and the heat needed turned up in the pool room. The security was awful. The outside door to the pool room would not close unless it was pulled on very hard. The outside door to the DARK parking lock did not have a working security lock on it. The front desk staff were not unfriendly but they also were not welcoming. The waffels ate breakfast were good.

Allergic to Smoke Sep 23, 2009
A traveling companion and I both reserved rooms at the Days Inn for 9/20 at KCI Airport, specifying late arrival and ... non-smoking (due to allergies). When we arrived at approx 11:30 pm, there were only smoking rooms available. I checked in & went to the room and the smoke was intolerable for my allergies. I DID NOT USE THE ROOM! We went back downstairs and the desk clerk was on an airport run & not available so we left our keys and a note on the counter and went to another hotel. Days Inn refuses to refund the first night as we did check in; however, we did not get the rooms we reserved. Orbitz contacted the hotel manager (we went through our litany a second time on 9/21. and we were denied reimbursement.

Stinky Room!
Lady Dahl Jul 19, 2009
An overpowering smell of something similar to a combination of very ripe dirty clothes and stinky feet greeted me when I ... opened the door of the room. After leaving the door open and running the ac full blast the smell seemed to lessen to the point of being tolerable. The bed was king sized but nothing more than a standard firm mattress. . .nothing cozy or comfortable . . .bare basics. The room had an odd furniture arrangement with the television in a cabinet angled to the right side facing the bed. Behind the television cabinet was a small sofa and coffee table, rather an odd placement-in full view of the bed but not placed for television viewing.

Never Again

Absolutely terrible! We only had to stay one night, but it was the worst experience. By booking online we didn't get a ... nonsmoking room like requested. Couldn't change the room because we booked online. The whole hotel smelt like a cigarette. Customer Service online wouldn't switch our room for us. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Okay Stay
Kansas Traveler May 19, 2009
Our flight was delayed by more than 7 hours, which meant we arrived at MCI at 3:30 a.m. I was disappointed, although not ... altogether surprised, that the lone employee preparing breakfast and manning the front desk was unable to provide the advertised airport shuttle service. I had already booked this hotel because of the promise of shuttle service. A $12 taxi ride later, at 4:00 in the morning, we checked into a small room with amenities better suited for a disabled person (shower at waist height with no tub). Overall, it met our needs, but not a terribly convenient 5 hour stay at Days Inn.

Location was great, but...We couldn't get a non-smoking room and the room smelled like an overused ashtray. The staff person ... was efficient, but she apparently did not know how to smile. The person who drove us to the airport and brought us back to the motel from the airport was efficient and friendly. Overall, the stay was OK, but not great.

The Days Inn Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City, MO was comfortable. We stayed on 9/6/07 and on 9/9/07. The room ... was good-sized and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was cleam and the staff was nice. The only concern I had was the room that we checked into on 9/6/07 smelled a little musty. The room was directly next to the indoor pool and the room just had this damp and musty odor. other than the oder, the room was nice. We checked back into the hotel on 9/9/07 for our flight back home. The room we checked into on 9/9/07 was nice, but the A/C was not working. The staff offered to move us, but it was too much trouble for us to pack up and move and it was not terribly warm in the room, so we opted to stay in the room. The breakfast that was offered was a basic continental breakfast. It was ok, but not what I expected. Overall, our stay was pleasant. The dining options are not close nor convienent, but the hotel is ok. If I was in the area, I might stay again at this hotel.

Most of the dining options are up the freeway a few miles...ask the front desk for directions. They are very helpful. There is also a Super Wal-Mart up the freeway along with other shopping.

Brenda Aug 4, 2007
We arrived at the motel and the check in was very fast and efficient then we started to our room and the elevator was broke ... and we had to pack our heaavy bags up 2 flights of stairs only to get to our room and find out it wasnt very clean and the beds was horrible for comfort. It also took us awhile to find the hotel it is quite a little distance from the main street. There was also some disturbance in the lobby from the front desk clerk and a bunch of other men in the lobby who looked pretty rough withalot of tattoos and they was going into a room that the clerk had to tell them to get out of several times. I would not stay there again.

My review of Days Inn Kansas City International Airport
john Jul 3, 2007
I was not satisfied with the overall look of the Motel. Very dingy looking. I had to have the desk clerk come to the room ... to get the wireless internet working. He also had to replace the phone because it did not work. The breakfast was skimpy. Had to ask the desk clerk to put more waffel mix out. Most of the other items we gone by 8 AM. The location was good but there were many other motels and hotels in the same location. If I do travel to Kansas City again, I will bok another hotel or motel.

Nice folks; Poor Stay.
Jeanne Jun 13, 2007
I arrived at 1 am in the morning, and the check in service was great but... My deadbolt didn't work in my door so that I ... couldn't lock it. Then, in the morning, I called about the hours of the complimentary breakfast. When I arrived 30 minutes before the stated end time, the pancake machine had been taken away. The 'buffet' was pretty bad. Sorry Days Inn, but this was not worth the mid-range price you charged me.

There's an awesome little replica of a small shopping village a few miles down the highway (south on 29) that has great restaurants, a nice little city plaza with a live band (Thurs night), and upscale shopping stores. Highly recommend Mim's Cafe. The whole scene was busy with happy people and families playing in the park.
