Nice room, not so for reservation
financeguy Sep 25, 2009
Although the room was clean and in good shape they switched my room from a king to a queen bed and said that's just happens. ... I pointed out I'd had a reservation from 2 weeks before and had prepaid. They where unimpressed and said contact orbitz to complain. I did and orbitz gave me a small credit for a later booking. So orbitz was OK Days Inn not so much.

Not what they advertised
Grandparents Jul 5, 2009
We made our reservation through the internet and booked a room with 2 Queen beds, Refrig, microwave and were given 2 Double ... beds, no Refrig, no microwave. We complained & they changed our room to one with appliances, but still only got double-beds. Nothing deluxe about the "Deluxe Continental Breakfast" they advertise. Had to ask for cereal and the attendant went into the back room and brought out one box of Fruit Loops! The room wasn't reasonable for what we got. They cut too many corners in our opinion. I don't recommend.

Continental breakfast was limited and crowded. Rooms comfortable and clean. Kids enjoyed the outdoor pool and the stay very much!

The reception staff was not very welcoming and seemed to consider me an unwelcome nuisance. The room was spacious but not ... very clean, there was a pile of bird droppings at the door-hmm...that could have been cleaned up easily, but it wasn't. The internet hook up was a great way to test one's patience, it literally took 10 minutes to connect. The location wasn't bad-we were visiting the Grand Canyon and Petrified Forest and Painted Desert, this location seemed to be central to those attractions. This motel is cheap and fairly well located.

Nice place to stay on Route 66
Frequent Traveler Apr 22, 2009
Overall was really happy with this place. There is a railroad track nearby, however it didn't bug me as I live by one ... normally. The noise didn't seem that bad, and I was almost in the closest room to the tracks. Totally would stay there again if I go back there again. After driving around I would say it's was better than some of the other options. Close to the university area.

The hotel was comfortable. The wireless internet was great! The room hairdryer did not work but within minutes, they had one ... available at my door. We stayed Saturday & Sunday night. The staff was nice, the area is a little busy but it was a great location. There is a Walgreens within walking distance and a lot of eateries.
