Old and moldy room. Phone didn't work. Sink didn't drain. Wall paper was stapled to the wall. Mattress was old and needed ... replaced. Pillows were extrememly flat. Parking lot was shared with a run down used care lot. Appears some rooms were rented for the long term as cheap housing. The entire place felt unsafe and I am glad I was traveling alone. I didn't want to subject my wife and son to this place.

Excellent value

I chose this hotel because I was traveling with a pet, and it was conveniently close to my needs while in the area. The ... staff was excellent - very friendly and courteous. After a long day of traveling, it was nice to be so warmly welcomed in, and have no hassles about the room or the dog! Although located in a busy area, and with a lounge attached, it was quiet and restful. I heard no road noise in the room itself. The lounge could perhaps be a problem on weekends or in warmer weather, but in late October during the week, I wasn't troubled at all by it. However, I was told upon check-in that if the lounge noise DID become a problem, to let them know, and I could be moved to another room. Everything in the room worked fine. Lights, bathroom, water, outlets, phone, tv, heater/vent. The room was reasonably clean. A bit of dust perhaps, but for the price, nothing I would complain about. This is an older building, and is showing some signs of wear and tear. The fixtures for the bathroom and sink could perhaps be replaced, to improve appearances, but they weren't too bad, and worked, so I was happy. I'm a smoker, and this was a "smoking" room. I was pleased that the room didn't reek of stale cigarettes, as some other places have. A couple of down-points - the in-room coffee maker was a single cup variety, yet the coffee pods were for the 4-cup variety. However, this was quickly rectified when pointed out, and a new 4-cup coffee pot was placed in the room. There was no do-not-disturb sign for my room, but they are available. I just didn't bother requesting one. There was no microwave or refrigerator, which I thought was supposed to be in the room (but I could be mistaken). There was a small safe, but I did not use it. The instructions for it seemed simple enough. For the price, I suppose this hotel couldn't be beat! I've paid more for much worse rooms. It was clean (enough), quiet, and comfortable. I don't like to pay for breakfasts and pools and exercise rooms that I won't be using anyway, so I was happy to find a good basic hotel for a great price. It suited me, and served me well. I would stay there again should I need to be back in that area.....but not on weekends, or in the summer, when the lounge would be a bigger issue.

Not so good. We called the front desk to ask to stay another night. We were told that was OK. When we came back to the hotel ... that afternoon, our keys did not work, and the curtain was left open so people could see our belongings. Went to the front desk to straighten things out and the gentleman was completely uncooperative.

The Red Roof is across the road!
Retired teacher Jun 3, 2009
The motel is in need of a complete makeover. Twenty years ago I stayed here and it was acceptable in terms of condition of ... room. Now, however, the motel has fallen into a state of disrepair. Some work is being done to upgrade the exterior. Interior is a different story. Fixtures in shower and sink are in need of major cleaning effort. Bed linens are in sorry shape and towels are threadbare.

Ok Place to stay
Jennifer Jan 27, 2008
The Days Inn was an ok place to stay. The room was large and they allow pets, pet fee was only $10. That was a plus. Overall ... quality of the furniture could have been better. Also, room didn't get very warm. Hot water in the shower was mildly warm. Great place to stay if you are a biker. There is a bar attached to the hotel; very convient, no driving. Just stumble back to your hotel room.
