The room itself was clean and acceptable. The hotel staff were helpful enough. The bus was accessible right out back but ... the meth addicts were unpleasant. The shuttle to the airport and the cheap room were selling points for me. I wouldn't recommend staying here for anything other than getting to the airport in the morning.

Too seedy to stay - looked at rooms before signing in. Wife wouldn't think about staying there. Their staff did help us ... locate hotel we've stayed at previously in Tempe. [...]The airline flight notices were super. The airlines reseverations and flights went without a hitch. Rental car - recommend you check out Phoenix airport charges - 53% add on. Your scheduling sheet shows $55/Day with no mention about the heavyhanded add-on fees at the airport. Traveler would be beeter off to go to the hotels or local rentals - much cheaper. I.E. Hilton, (Tempe) has Hertz cars available without the 53% add on, and the service was outstanding.Would like to get my $98 dollars back from the hotel - but I don't expect miracles. Please review that place though, you should warn your travelers about bad areas in town or refrain from recommending certain hotels at all. I've traveled for years, and managed serveral businesses, I wouldn't hang my reputation on the Days Inn on Van Buren.

If the hotel fee is too cheap there's probably a very good reason. The pictures look great on line but the panoramic view is distorted or hidden.

Staff was wonderful.... hotel was lackin
ajsflg Aug 26, 2009
I booked a non-smoking room and received a very smelly smoking room, complete with ashtrays. The AC unit didn't work very ... well, and it was almost 90 degrees at night. It was a park-an-fly hotel, but there was no secure lot for cars. It wasn't the best, but the staff was terrific and the shuttle service was excellent!

Chose this hotel for one night due to 6:45 AM flight the next morning. Very close to airport and US 40 adn US 17 which could ... be good for traveling to sights outside Phoenix. The disappointing was an unclean iron and ironing board cover.

Days Inn not in a very good location, informed by relatives in the "red light district"- across the street from a "nude ... girls" business. In for cousins' funeral, Had opportunity to go to Sedona, but unable from Orbiz, to get refund, which was upsetting to me.

Piping Colonel Apr 22, 2009
We had stayed at another motel for one week, i.e. prior to staying @ the Days Inn. We wish we had stayed at the Days Inn ... during our entire 9 days visit to the area. Manager and his brother were wonderful to deal with (both from India). Drove us to airport at 4AM and didn't bat an eyelash...and it was FREE. Room was extremely cozy and delightful for $ amount. My trip to Arizona
Carmen Apr 22, 2009
The hotel is located in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The area seems dangerous to me; many motels and sexual adult entertainment ... businesses surround the hotel. The hotel is 6 miles away from the University of Phoenix Campus; the only place I visited through my stay at Phoenix, Arizona.

Reasonably priced accomodations
Francis Dec 7, 2008
The Days Inn Airport is located in an industrial neighborhood near the Sky Harbor Airport. The neighborhood is rather run ... down, i.e. small auto repair shops, machine shops, etc, that are not well maintained. The amenities in the hotel were adequate and the staff was friendly and competent. They provide free shuttle service to and from the Airport, which is a plus. High speed internet access. An ethernet cable is necessary, and is provided by the hotel. The Days Inn brand is new to this property, so I presume the Days Inn management will begin a program of renovation of he rooms.
