We arrived late at night after a tough trip. The reception staffers were not in a hurry to check us in and were not ... welcoming. When we arrived in the room, it was small, and the toilet had toilet paper in it, and a hair on the toilet lid. There was also hair in the shower. A bathroom with someone else's hair in it was definitely enough to put me off the whole stay.

The hotel is in a great location to visit most of Ottawa's museums, the Parliament buildings, monuments, the market, etc. ... Our room was clean and comfortable and the cleaning staff did an excellent job keeping it that way. All the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

You can leave the hotel walking and see all of the attractions. Hotel is just 2 blocks from the Parlimant area, which leads to the canal, which leads to shopping which leads to the Byward Market. A great city to see by foot!

You cannot miss Sconewitch, a scone bakery and cafe just across the street and to the left of the property. They serve some of the best gourmet scones I have ever tasted in my life!

I had a very good experience in this hotel, great location,the personel was very friendly, they allowed me a late check out ... without problem,my room was very clean and the hotel in general was in very good condition, except for some machines at the gym. I would recommend this hotel.

Not a business hotel

Experience was ok, but they did not offer free wireless service for business, you had to pay $10 a day and I would of opted ... for another hotel that did, since I spend a lot of time on the computer also, they did not have a complimentry breakfast, it was $16 dollars for scrambled eggs and bacon, not a good bargin for the busines traveler.

I was in Ottawa for a business trip. The city is great, but the hotel is not! My guestroom had long black hair from the ... housekeeper both nights I was there. The shower dripped water 24/7. You don't see staff in the lobby engaging the guests. Room service was poor!

Very Convenient to Parliament

This property is a convenient, safe walk to Parliament. Along the way there are various stores, shops and restaurants. The ... property even has a Tim Hortens on the lower level. I found the staff to be extremely accommodating and gracious. The room is newly renovated and the decor and bedding are quite new. There are great views of the city. One comment is that the room curtains need to be closed in the winter because otherwise the windows emit a draft.
