I got there 15 minutes past 11pm and the office was closed. I called the hotels phone number but got a recorded message. I ... ended up staying somewhere else and had to pay for the room there. So, I paid for 2 nights at Crossland but spent only one night.

They offered no housekeeping services, or tioletries and the carpets were very dirty. The heater did not work and there was ... no bath tub only a shower. I was not pleased or impressed with this hotel.

Bare Bones Needs a lttle more meat

This is a bare bones, no frills hotel. I wasn't told until I got there that there would be no daily linen service until I ... stayed 7 nights . . . I stayed 6 nights. It was not a problem to use the same sheets and towels. It just would have like to have been told before hand. Although there was a kitchen and some cups, utensils, pots, etc., there were no cleaning supplies and equipment. This is material is usually sold in bulk at super markets, this discouraged me from using the facilities. There should be a minimum dishwashing soap. The normal hotel hand soaps were inadequte to do the job. There were also no ice trays. Fortuntely, I stayed most of each day and evening at my daughter's home during the week so I didn't have to stay in the hotel. This place is less than or equal to a Motel 6 in quality with no little to no amenities. I couldn't use my Clearwire internet beause there was no reception. Internet use was not free. When I came in late one night, after 11 pm there was a man peeing in the front parking lot in full view of the entire parking lot. There was no attempt to stop him by hotel staff as they don't apparently surveil the grounds very well.

When we got there, they didn't have a double queen like we booked, then the room smelled of an ashtray so we moved, got ... another non-smoking room that smelled like an ashtray and finally ended up in a terrible 2 double bed room. Overall, the beds are painful, the rooms smell, and one day after one day in the room, we still were unable to have our paid for needs met.

The room was clean enough,but very plain. My stay was five days, but to get maid service you had to be there a week or more. ... They didn't have a Continental Breakfast, which I missed. The kitchenette was handy. The bathroom facilities were convenient enough.The room itself was Quiet, but the other side of the building faced the freeway & that seemed noisey. In a pinch I would stay there again, although Resturaunts weren't very close except at other hotels.

Crossland Sacramento--Mostly good things to say. Great value, nice well-equipped little kitchen, comfortable bed, great ... location, convenient to freeway, eating places, groceries, etc. The only negative comments I have are that there was a big open trash bin in one of the hallways plus some trash/junk laying around a walkway. Also, the outside of the doors to the rooms were being painted while I was there and access to the room was needed. When I returned one evening the lights were on inside my room and I had difficulty entering my room because the security latch was somehow partially latched.

American River is nearby with river activities available and an excellent bike path. A Sacramento light rail system station is also nearby for easy access to downtown.

Inexpensive Weekend Get-away

This hotel is one of the most inexpensive I have ever stayed at...but it is one of the friendliest!!! The staff really made ... me feel welcome. They accommodated my need for a handicapped room for no additional cost. The room was equipped with microwave, refrigerator, and extra sink....and plenty of counter space. They even supplied the dishes and the dish soap!! The location was perfect for shopping at the Folsom Outlets and close enough to the Jackson Casino.....fun........was the order of the day!!!! When I returned to the room after a long day I found it quiet and comfortable.

If you are in town and looking to find the cheapest hotel available then the Crossland won't be a bad option. Clean room, ... clean bathroom, and friendly staff. However one thing that they don't give is shampoo!! But good for the price.
