Worst hotel I have ever stayed in
Jerry Sep 8, 2009
This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I have traveled and stayed in all levels of hotels in the US and Canada and ... the Crestwood Suites in Colorado Springs was the worst. It was dirty outside, inside the lobby, and in our rooms. It smelled of stale smoke in the lobby, hallways, stairwells, and in my two rooms. The carpets in both rooms were stained. The rooms were dark and uninviting, to say the least. The front desk, including the general manager, were not friendly or customer service oriented. When I asked for a refund management said that I had to contact Orbitz. We, in fact, stayed only one night. I would not subject my family to this dump. I had to find alternate accommodations for the remainder of our stay. This was Parent's Weekend at the Air Force Academy, and proved to be extremely stressful for my family. The only rooms I could find were near the Colorado Springs Airport; which is much farther away from the Academy, and we incurred additional expenses. I expect my credit card to be credited for the three nights we did not stay in the two rooms we reserved. I expect a call from an Orbitz manager reporting that the credit has been applied. I will be calling Orbitz to discuss how this dump was listed as a place to stay in Colorado Springs.

Crestwood Suites - Colorado Springs
Traveler Aug 25, 2009
This is a relatively simple, extended-stay location. Some travelers would miss the amenities (no breakfast, daily ... housekeeping by request only, etc.), but the price was stunningly low, and well worth it compared to other locations nearby. Rooms were simple but clean and neat. The facility is relatively new.

Room with a mountain view!
Ebby Aug 20, 2009
There is a wonderful walking/biking path behind the hotel that follows a creek and is lined with trees! The price is very ... fair for the room! They do need much fluffier pillows! You really have a FULL kitchen with flatware and dishes. The frig is full size as well. The staff is very nice. If you must have housekeeping daily, this is not the place for you. They only service your room weekly. But if you don't mind making your own bed in the morning, THIS IS THE A GREAT PLACE TO STAY. The location is right off of a main highway and there are plenty of stores around for the eating and necessities you may have forgotten. Highly recommended!

Ok if all you want is a place to sleep.
The Wife Aug 11, 2009
We were busy most of the trip and really only there to sleep. When the internet went down, it took them over an hour to ... reboot it because they kept "forgetting" to do it every 10 minutes when I called the front desk. It was quiet, though, and easy to sleep.

What reservation?
Frustrated Aug 11, 2009
When we arrived very very late at 1:30 in the morning, after traveling for 10 hours, the front desk clerk was less than ... friendly to us and had no information regarding our PAID FOR reservation. After have US call Orbitz to confirm the reservation, he reluctantly gave us a dirty room with hard beds. It took us an hour to check in. This was a miserable stay. I would call first next time to confirm your reservation!

My stay at Crestwood Suites of CoSprings
JoeiJoJo Aug 11, 2009
I only stay for one night and was not there for much of the time. I stayed in a smoking room which had no ashtray and the ... floors did not seem to be cleaned. I was also awaken at 8 am by a housekeeping lady wondering if I had left yet so she could clean my room. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

We were visiting Colorado Spring area and thought the hotel had a great view from our rooms with the mountains all around. ... There were couple of great restaurants around the hotel at walking distance. The staff was great and very helpful. The rooms were also quite clean and had free secure wireless internet. However, I found that the staff were very kind and nice to talk to and my room was clean. It wasn't an amazing place, but for the price it was worth it. Very good location for a price
Svaras Aug 5, 2009
Very decent hotel for a price range. Big room, with a small kitchen, so you can save some money. Room was clean enough. ... Personal friendly, but space at the front desk lots of time was just empty. Basicly, hotel has not too much to offer; not even a pool, but it's a good place to have a quiet night (at least in our case) and it's pretty close to all main attractions. Good location - close to expressway, and to the Garden of the Gods.

Good value, hard bed
Jan Jul 30, 2009
After reading some reviews I was a little skeptical about the hotel, but our check in went smoothly. The room was clean. The ... price was excellent for the location. Close to Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, etc. The bed is very, very hard. We were on the 1st floor and after a couple days of listening to the people above us stomping around we contacted the front desk, they spoke to the people on the 2nd floor but after another hour went by they were no quieter, we then asked to be moved and they did it with no problem. (Luckily they had a room available) With it being an extended stay hotel, make sure you either see housekeeping in the morning or get with the office early to ensure you have towels and washcloths if you need them. Room service does not come in and make your bed or change your towels out on a daily basis. Our last night there someone burnt something while cooking and set the fire alarms off, the response from the fire station was very quick.

The Grayline Pikes Peak Cog Railroad tour was well worth the money, besides picking you up at the hotel we were taken by some of downtown Colorado Springs historic locations and got some history lessons by the driver.

Great price for what its worth
Finding myself in the mountains!!! Jul 30, 2009
A fire alarm went off my first night at 11:00 pm. Apparently this was the third time in two weeks. A lot of long term ... residents as this is an extended stay "hotel." It seemed like a dorm type place. I did appreciate the kitchen,c complete with fridge, microwave, plates, silverware, etc... as I was able to cook breakfast and dinner the nights I was was there. The shower connections were falling apart, but usable. You get what you pay for, and it was not a "hole." I've stayed in those before as well. Good experience to pass through for a couple days.
