Amazing Honeymoon
Kmoe Oct 26, 2009
This was the most amazing honeymoon. Much more than I could have ever expected. Staff was extremely accomodating. We received ... a free room upgrade because we were honeymooners. The hotel was beautiful; from the lobby to the room with the ocean view and private balcony to the beautiful pool. Before booking this trip, I heard horror stories about food at all inclusive resorts, but the food here was exceptional. This trip was relaxing and romantic...2 thumbs up.

We shared a wonderful holiday with our adult sons and their girlfriends. The resort was definitely first class with over the ... top service and terrific food. Our stay was great! The staff is so friendly and always willing to help with whatever you need. The hotel was beautiful and ... located really close to downtown shopping and bars. Room service is included in the all-inclusive package. The hotel will set up activities outside of the hotel for you such as ATV tours or swimming with dolphins. The nightly shows were very entertaining. I would recommend renting scooters (or a car) and driving around the island. There are some really neat bars and beautiful white sand beaches that look untouched. Overall it was a great vacation and we can't wait to go back.
Traveler type: Couples
Cruise ships dock at the island during the day and you are less likely to get a bargain when shopping so it is recommended that you go at night once things have died down and vendors are a little more desperate for sales.

Defintly get a ocean-view room, we upgraded our last night and it was awesome. Also, the guest services try to sell you on a ... time share with their resort, you have to be very adamant about your no if your not interested. The food was very awesome, lots of choices. This resort has sand but no beaches, which was pretty disappointing, you had to take a taxi to go hit up a beach.September was a perfect time to go as there was not many people there.

The staff is very professional, helpful, eager and dedicated. The service could not have been better. For an all inclusive, ... the food was exceptional. They will make you anything you want, even if it is not on any of the regular menus. The alcohol is not top shelf but is very good. The wine is actually exceptional. Only Dos Equis is available for beer. The hotel service almost comes too often...turn down service, buckets of ice, pillow service, chocolates, etc. They certainly spoil you. The hotel is basically downtown so it is very accessible (best location on the island). They block out the windows towards street and it is quite within the resort. You would think you are in a deserted paradise.

Best Vacation Ever
RchyRch Sep 21, 2009
The Hotel location is great, just a few blocks from the tourist shopping and restaurants and a supermarket just across the ... street. The Hotel is spotless with staff continuously cleaning and maintaining. The rooms were very nice and housekeeping came twice a day to tidy up the room. The view from the room is amazing (ocean front suites). The food was always excellent as well as the alcoholic drinks. But the hotel isnt the best part. The staff is amazing. They are all super polite and friendly and are there to entertain you and make you more comfortable with your stay. I forgot to mention that just of the hotel deck you can snorkel and see lots of tropical fish. Loved that. We just left and are already planning our trip to go back. Best vacation we've had due to location, hotel and staff. VERY SAFE, you dont have to worry about leaving your camera/sunglasses/wallet around the facility. No beach access though, you will need to drive or taxi about a mile or two if you want to hang out on the sandy beaches. If you get a chance take the snorkeling boat trip, you will see a ton of fish. Skip the Coba Mayan Ruins tour. It takes all day and you will be exhausted due to ride, hike, heat. Its cool to see but you will waste a full day of your vacation. Basically its a pile of rocks shaped like a pyramid. Cool for cultural education but if you go be prepared for bumpy van ride. Enjoy your vacation. The Palace is the way to go.

Cozumel Place lived up to its reputation. Stayed in a concierge room (#428) and the staff and service was first class. Nice ... variety of food in the different resturants and the wine selections were above average. Hotel staff were very friendly and acommodating, and the food service staff went out of their way to make sure you enjoyed your stay at the hotel. Free tours to Chankanaab and snorkeling were enjoyable as was the spa services. Can't wait to go back, had a great time at the Palace.

Hannibal Aug 30, 2009
We spent 2 weeks at the Cozumel Palace, mainly for scuba diving. Before booking we read many reviews of various all-inclusive ... hotels on Cozumel. For most of them we found that travelers reported quite some negatives, such as limitations on how often you can eat in the on-site restaurants, noise, or the constant nuisance of agents trying to sell you time shares. NONE of that at the Cozumel Palace. NO limitations. You can eat in each of their restaurants as often as you want, and there is even unlimited room-service (food/drinks) 24hr/day, and even the mini-bar and the liquor on the room is free. All the hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Top-notch service. The one-site dive operator at Cozumel Palace is Aqua World. However, we decided to dive with Aqua Safari, which was a good choice. Their boat picked us up at the hotel pier and their service was great. Aqua World did not even manage to get their rinse tanks working...
