Courtyard Marriott- Tremont in Boston
Pat Sep 7, 2009
This was our first trip to Boston and we were taking our son to college. The hotel was ideally situated to all the ... attractions we wanted to see. We found Boston ideal for touring and the Courtyard was in the center of town as well as a few blocks from his school. One the downside, we had trouble getting enough towels for our use. The air conditioner in our room was very noisy and difficult to regulate. beds were comfortable but the room was small. We had a room with 2 double beds and 4 family members- a little crowded.

In the theater district. Lots of great shows and good pub-like dining nearby.

Everything was fine except......
In need of privacy when trying to relax Sep 4, 2009
Everything was fine with the room but I was bothered numerous times by the housekeeping staff. I wanted peace and quiet on my ... vacation and they kept stoping by occasionally knocking which is fine but they just kept trying to enter the room many times without even knocking which made me feel terribly uncomfortable. I feel that every single time a housekeeper or any other member working for the hotel tries to enter a room they should knock. I was continuously woken up by someone trying to enter. It was extremely bothersome!

Great location for Boston theaters
Carlo Dec 28, 2008
The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the theater district and is only a short walk to a number of theaters. The room ... was tiny with not much room to move around in & anyone looking for spacious accommodations will not find it here. The bathroom was barely large enough for one person. The hotel only serves breakfast. On Saturday night the bar draws a very large crowd, with extremely loud music. Fortunately we were on the 12th floor but I expect that anyone on the lower floors would not have escaped being blasted. I picked the hotel because of its proximity to a concert we were attending. The staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly the doorman, a delightful gentleman. While its always expensive to park in Boston, Parking was $36 for one night.

Good location near transportation
John Jun 24, 2008
Very nice older hotel which has been renovated. Several blocks from Boston Commons. Walking distance to Transit system and ... Freedom Trail. Had large desk and work space for business if needed. The only negatives were that it had a stand alone closet which was blocked by the desk so hanging clothes was a challenge. Also the bathroom had limited space to place items. But overall would stay at the hotel again due to the convenience.
