Beautiful location, decent resort.
Kalinut Oct 12, 2009
Negril was absolutely beautiful. No complaints about the location whatsoever. The resort was decent. We had great service, ... loved the swim up bar, the food was pretty good (decent variety of restaurants on the property), and there was tons to do. We were never bored. The rooms, however, left something to be desired, especially the tiny bathrooms. Unless you go for the most expensive rooms, don't trust the pictures in the website or else you will be disappointed. Other than the rooms though, it was great.

Couples Negril was Outstanding !! The service and accominations were Excellent !! The Pool, beach, rooms, food, drinks, were ... great !! Have been to Sandals Negril and would go back to Couples in a heart beat. Catermeran cruise was a blast !! Rick's cafe....a must !! Water skiing top notch !! Glass bottom boat nice touch. Could go on and on but unless you experience it for yourself, I could never put into words how great of a experience it is to be at Couples. Wish I could stay for a month or 2. Highly recommmend Couples Negril for your next vacation.

This hotel which includes: airport transfer, most watersport activities (and you can go multiple times), day trips, nightly entertainment, and great food. We tipped and only spent money on the spa. We had no worries about safety or transportation. It seems like a much cheaper and relaxing trip than another resort could offer us.

From the door...things were great. I am really big on service and I have to say that the staff went over and beyond to make ... sure that all guest were comfortable and happy. The entertainment was lots of fun and they invited guest to dance, sing and party along. There is plenty to do on the resort...most of water sports were included. The food was great, but I would have appreciated more traditional Jamaican foods. The resort provided plenty of opportunities to travel to shopping markets and sight-seeing ( some for a small fee) but well worth it. The pool and the beach were very clean and beautiful..some hustlers on the beach but the resort's security keeps a watchful eye. My overall trip was wonderful, fun and great!! When I came back I wanted to charter a plane and take all my family and friends back to Couples Negril!

Amazing trip to Paradise
Cooley Sep 4, 2009
My wife and I are in our late twenties and we travel often. We only stay in 4+ star accomodations and we place this resort ... at the top of the bunch. Accomodations: Basic room is large and romantic. Enough TV channels to watch CSI and the View. Every room has a private balcony and even the garden rooms have a nice view. Food: Better than any all inclusive we've seen. Great vegetarian options and overall variety. Beach: Pristine and large. No critters and plenty of chaise lounges. You can go out all the way and still see your feet. Activities: Glass bottom boat and catamaran are incredible. Great service and they'll give you swim lessons or a floatee if you ask. Hotel gives free air conditioned airport transfer, shopping trips, and Margaritaville. Night Entertainment: Always a blast. Even the corny singalongs are fun to watch. The crew makes it good for everyone of all ages. Location: Walking distance to Hedonism and shopping. Taxis available anytime. Very safe area! Service: Everybody greets you in the morning. Your room gets cleaned daily, they sweep the beach, and security is TIGHT. The Spa was awesome and so professional. We had the best time. I would definitely return!

a beautiful hotel with friendly staff
arnie_sheila Aug 10, 2009
This was our second trip to Jamaica, the other being on the east side of the island. There really can be no comparison to ... the other trip because the resorts were so different. We loved Couples Negril..the staff was always smiling and helpful, the four restaurants, the beautiful pool areas and the beach...we loved the beach. We also had an opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Aside from the daily mid day rain and the extra weight we gained (what else is an all inclusive vacation about) we had a wonderful week. Then again, if it wasn't for the rain, we would have fried from the heat of the sun. The Jamaicans are beautiful friendly people and you will enjoy your stay.

This was our 4th visit and it is always like going home. You are welcomed with smiles and how can we help you. There are lots ... of activities to do or you can do nothing. Great beach and location. Water sports is amazing. Talk with the chef and all of his amazing staff and food, food and more food. Food was great. It is amazing they can remember your names if your are visiting for the first time or if you are repeater from year to year they remember something about you from your last trip. Couples only,no childern or singles. All ages and sizes. Everyone enjoys.

Very nice and would highly recommend. The only issue we has was most mornings, the water for the shower did not get warm. ... We had to wait until later in the day to take showers. Not a big deal since we spent most of the day in the water, but annoying to say the least. I would definatly visit this resort again.

Couples Negril is a beautiful hotel located on an amazing beach strip of Negril. The food was great, the service was very ... good and everything was more than expected. They provided free tours and water sport activity such as scuba diving, cruses and water ski. The beach has white sand and clear blue water like in a real paradise. The stuff was friendly and professional and they gave us the feeling the extra expense was justified itself. We are definitely going back to this hotel for our next year vacation. Highly recommend.

We just got back from our honeymoon at Couples Negril and it was the best vacation ever! The staff is absolutely intent on ... making your stay relaxing. All the staff is friendly and ready to make your dreams come true! The food is great no matter which restaurant you choose. The ONLY thing that was less than desirable was the drive from the airport. But once we got to paradise...we forgot all about the road trip! We will definitely return to this resort and recommend it to all of our friends!

Relaxing Vacation
Nik Jun 10, 2009
The hotel was very nice, relaxing and clean. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. We liked that as soon as you ... got there they offered champagne and cool towels for your face and hands. Our room was comfortable. The food was good, especially the breakfast buffet but we would have liked to have seen a bigger variety of food for the lunch and dinner buffets and a better snack bar. It was very limited. The non-motorized sports were great. As far as the cleaning of rooms, the times were random and not everyday. It would have been nice to know that the room would be cleaned every morning around the same time. There were times when we would leave the room early in the morning only to return around 4:30pm or 5pm and the room had not been touched and no cleaning person or cart in sight. We also didn't like the fact that we had to keep up with our beach towels. The hotel told us that it was our responsibility to keep up with the 2 beach towels for the duration of our stay. Exchanging for fresh towels when we needed but we still had to keep up with both. That was a bit annoying. A tour of the hotel was needed as well. We didn't find out all the hotel had to offer until the last day. Overall, we had a great time. I would definately recommend this hotel and I would return as well.

Nice vacation
Katie Jun 5, 2009
My husband and I had high expectations of this hotel because of an experience 2 years ago at an all-inclusive resort in ... Mexico. However, we were slightly disappointed at several hotel aspects. First of all, the rooms were not very spacious or well maintained for the price that you pay. Generally, garden deluxe rooms and oceanfront deluxe rooms have a very similar view so don't pay more for the oceanfront. The suites are very nice but were not worth the additional money to us. The bathrooms in the deluxe rooms leave a lot to be desired. The water pressure is bad and there is a window which allows people outside your room to hear you in the shower, which is strange to me. The beds were pretty comfortable but overall the room was nothing special. The hotel itself was nice though I found that the service was not as good here as it was in Mexico. My personal theory is that when employees are not working for tips they will not go the "extra mile" to please the guests. The beach was wonderful and was covered in natural vegetation to provide shade. The water was crystal clear and was a very comfortable temperature. Food was OK - there were 2 restaurants that outshined the others but one required a reservation and was very small so it was hard to get into. Bottom line: Check out all-inclusives in Mexico & Dominican Republic where I believe that your dollar goes MUCH farther
