Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return. However I was a little disappointed in the fact that I felt my ... daughter and myselfs saftey was not a major concern to your staff. Apon arrival I noticed that our room was right next to the door leading to the parking garage being alittle nervous about the situation I called the front desk to request possibly getting a room further away from the parking garage. I was informed that there was nothing available that had the same view we requested (It was in November, not the busiest time of the year). We would have paid extra to get a better, safer room but was not offered that option.Also when I went to take a shower ther was no shower curtain. I called the front desk and 40 min. later someone arrived with the shower curtain however I had to install the curtain myself. The staff could be a little more friendly and helpful with area information.

This had to be the worst place I ever stayed. Had to carry my own bags in rain. Had coffee maker but no coffee even for first ... morning. My ocean view was a parking lot: front desk said if I lean over my balacony and look hard right that was my ocean view. Had 1 inch cockroaches,headboards to bed glued to wall with gobs dripping down wall, chairs had white stains, pools and hot tubs were filthy. I am 5 foot and barely fit under shower head with hardly any pressure. Staff not friendly and could care less, food was bad and way over priced. I would have been happier flushing the money I spent down the toliet and staying home. There are nicer places right up the street. Be afraid very afraid!!!!!

We had stayed at this hotel before, and we received excellent service. They were doing scheduled maintenance on some rooms ... which said to us that they are constantly maintaining the hotel. Their swimming pool, lazy rivers, etc. were kept clean and were never over crowded.

my stay at the compass cove resort was so great...it's right on the beach and was beautiful at night time plus it is right in ... the middle of all the fun stuff but far enough away so it's not so noisy..the only problem i had with the hotel is the chemicals in the pool were way to strong and caused me and my friend to have very very irritated and red eyes for a couple of hours but other than that is was perfect!!!! we will deff. go back and this time take our kids becuase it would be perfect for that too!

This is a great location on the beach, only 5 minutes to the airport. It seems like around every corner there is another pool ... and hot tub. Really great resort for families, but my wife and I enjoyed staying just as a couple. Unit had a nice kitchen, bathroom had been remodeled, and was very nice. Great view of the ocean. Outdoor bar had very good food and drinks for lunch.

My daughter and I had a great time walking and tanning on the beach. Visited Broadway on the Beach, saw two movies, and ... played minature golf (Atlanticus minature golf course was a lot of fun). The unit had a wonderful beachfront balcony. Location was very convenient to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Unit was a bit outdated/run down. We would stay at this resort again.

I went with my little brother and friends, and we all loved it. The resort is great for any age. There was plenty of things ... to do in and around the hotel. The only bad thing was I was'nt able to stay longer. Will definately come back next year.

We thought the hotel was great and everything we could ask for in a hotel. However, we flew to Myrtle Beach and did not rent ... a car. There is not much within walking distance and we had to walk or take a cab everywhere, which was not cheap.

Poor hotel. The food choices were minimal, they have many pools but all were too small and overcrowded. The hotel seemed ... very crowded in general. The elevators were awful. Several didn't work, they weren't airconditioned and they were very slow. We often walked to the tenth floor in 95 degree heat. The staff did not help us with our bags and we had to carry them 1 block to our hotel building from the main office, again in the heat. Very dissappointing. I would definitely not stay there again. Not worth the amount of money they're getting.

Arrived in MYR at 8am. Drove to hotel and changed into swimwear using lobby restroom. Was easy to do. Spent the 7 hours ... Before check in playing and relaxing in the pools and ocean surf. Was a bummer that the vending machines didn't work for dollar bills but tiki hut had drinks and food. Hotel room was perfect and inexpensive. My 3 year old was able to play in several pools and I could keep an eye on him while relaxing in the shade. Nice break from the summer sun. My mom was able to rent a chair and umbrella and relax on the sandy surf. My son and I bounced from pool to ocean easily. I love the location of this hotel. The beach is not too busy and the crowds are never obnoxious. A perfect family spot. I came here on my honeymoon 6 years ago and had a great time as a couple too. There are so many pools that you can find the perfect fit of company and sun/shade

Although the location was great & the room was very nice & clean . . . we found that the hotel was noisy with lots of ... kids/families & hard to navigate. The property is situated over 3 buildings with 3 separate parking lots. Took us 25 minutes to check in, park & get to our room. Upon check-in, we were told we had to wait an additional hr to actually access our room. Definitely not a great choice for couples looking for a quiet, romantic place to stay & relax.

My name is MaryAnn and my boyfriend and i went to Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort for a few days to get away from our busy ... work lives. We decided to go to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. We had a great time we stayed in a King Efficiency Room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful beach. We had a full kitchen so we saved money by making our own breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were located near "Broadway on the Beach,"and we went on a Casino Cruise.Overall no complaints the pricing was great they had 22 different pool attractions so if we were hot we would go in one of them or go to the beach. I would recommend this hotel to other families it is a family oriented hotel.
