A Very Good Stay

Although my son and I didn't spend very much time in our room, the time spent there was very relaxing. We enjoyed the quite ... atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable. A microwave would have made the rooms much better. We would stay at this hotel again when visiting Memphis.

Shut It Down!

The Comfort Inn Memphis was upon arrival not that appealing on the exterior but after a long drive from Michigan we were ... exhausted. We had travreled to Memphis for the funeral of my father-in-law. We noted the dirtiness of the carpet in the hallway and the elevator. The room on the surface was made up but I noticed a distinct damp smell. We arrived approximately 4:00p.m. the family hour was to begin at 6:00p.m. The tub and shower had visible milldew stains on the grout but once again we were in a hurry and figured we make do. We also noted fruit flies in the room although we had no food. We returned late that night and prepared for the next day of the funeral. We went for the contenintal breakfast and dressed and left for the funeral. Upon our return to the room at 4:30 or 5:00p.m. OUR BEDS HAD NOT BEEN MADE, WET TOWELS WHERE THEY HAD BEEN TRASH STILL THERE THE ROOM HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED!!!! Went to the desk to complain. The desk person checked the log for cleaning and apologized that it had not been done. I asked what could be done since the staff was gone, they gave us new towels and said would have to check in the a.m. The next morning while having coffee one of the guests was on the phone and could be heard describing that her car windows had been knocked out and the contents stolen I was totally in motion to leave A.S.A.P. I packed up my daughters (2) and we left vowing never to stay at such a place again. Being from out of town I really felt taken advantage of. I knew the room was not in the $100 range but I still felt it should have been clean and cleaned during our 2-day stay. I HAVE NEVER STAYED IN A HOTEL WHERE THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED (AND NO WE DIDN'T PUT THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN OUT. I AM A 54 YEAR OLD MARRIED MOTHER OF 4. Due to the circumstance around the trip I was simply trying deal with the grief we were there to share.

A Very Good Stay
