stayed one night each at the begining and end of our trip and again for 2 nights in the middle. A bit out of the way for an ... extended stay, but was fine for us. Took the bus to Kew Gardens one day. Food good. Not too much choice for an outside meal or store. Shuttle bus was fine. We did not have a car, but there is a charge for parking even if you are staying in the hotel.

Adequate
dekay Sep 11, 2009
This hotel served its purpose as a stayover one evening to catch a flight the next morning. It was adequate, nothing more ... nothing less. It was convenient with the airport Hoppa (although catching it was confusing on the way to the hotel). This service is 4 pounds each way. There is no free internet.

If you have time, take a long walk to the center of Hayes to find dozens of places to eat and shop, so as not to be a captive to the hotel's high food and beverage prices. And, park on the street for free - don't believe them when they try to take you for a $10 nightly parking fee.

there are many shoplifters in London Tower. my purse was stolen from Kentucky Fried Chicken, we were there only for seven hours when this happened and I had to go to the US embassy for a new passport, police department to report it and American Express to cancel my cards and all my vacation money was in my pocketbook. We spent a lot of money on taxi to go from place to place for help. But otherwise, the vacation turned out lovely.

Surprinsingly good hotel near airport
Spoiled American tourists Sep 9, 2009
We were expecting a small hotel near the airport and discovered a very pleasant facility, quiet, modern and comfortable, for ... a very affordable price thanks to Orbitz (well below the regular hotel price). The shuttle and rapid transit to London (30 to 40 minutes) allowed us to spend a pleasant evening in the City and be back in time to spend the night before our morning flight. The parking is easily accessible but rather costly for a hotel parking.

OK for close to Heathrow
Bill Aug 26, 2009
Nice hotel if you have to stay very close to Heathrow. No other restaurants, grocery stores, etc. nearby, so you may be stuck ... paying their high food and beverage prices (like a $6 morning takeaway coffee). The city center of Hayes has shops and restaurants, but is a mile and a half away. Parking a car on the hotel lot costs $10 a night, and they lied and told me there was nowhere else to park nearby - but I could have parked on the street for free 1 block away!

Very nice hotel, needed taxi to go back
Irish eyes Jul 26, 2009
They didn't have a safe for our valuables and money, Told us that we did not have shuttle service and we hired a private taxi ... back to the cruise ship. Very costly. did have shuttle service to hotel. Nothing close to go shopping or other resturants. Hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable and the workers were friendly and helpful.

Very decent accomodations for Heathrow
Christob Jul 9, 2009
My stay was 2 different nights, a week apart. The hotel is an easy 15 minute shuttle bus ride from the airport, on the ... "Hotel Hoppa" bus lines that serve Heathrow. 4 pounds each way seemed reasonable, in absence of a free shuttle. There is very little within walking distance of the hotel; mostly residential, with a pub and a small block of a few retailers, located a 3-block walk away. I didn't get to try the pub for a meal. The hotel is compact, only 3 floors, with decent rooms. On my first night's arrival, I was given a ground floor room, which I mistook to be indicative of all their rooms. Only on my second checkin a week later, did I learn I'd previously been given a Superior room, without my knowledge, and free of surcharge. (That first night, the hotel seemed particularly empty; perhaps that is why I was given an upgrade.) So my 2nd room was actually a Standard---no air conditioning, and markedly smaller than the first room. (Though completely adequate for a single traveler.) I am naturally very warm, and after hauling my luggage through the winding halls, the Standard room felt far too warm for my comfort so I requested a transfer to a room with A/C; and that cost an extra 20-pounds. Wireless internet is available in-room for a charge (about 8-pounds per 24 hours) or at 2 internet terminals in the lounge area (2-pounds for 30 minutes)--although one terminal was out of service for both of my visits. I ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, and both were fine & tasty meals, with attentive service.

Basic But Hardly a Destination
Franny Jul 4, 2009
The hotel's accessibility to Heathrow or transportation to London are it's big pluses. It could best be described as ... utilitarian, with a few frills like a brasserie and a bar. I'd stay here again simply because of its location; but be warned that most single rooms are on the "ground" floor and in hot weather (as I experienced), I was torn between keeping the window open or closing it. Correct, no air-conditioning, which in not that uncommon in Great Britain.

Comfort Hotel Heathrow really bad
Judy C. Jun 15, 2009
The shuttle did not pick me up. Had to take cab at 10 pounds. Halls small. Food not good. Bed nice. Room too small. No ... shower. Big tub. I cannot sit in a tub at all. I think they double charged for the room after I paid you. I will take this up with my card company. Too much money for internet that did not work. All in all it was pretty poor. Comfort Inn really needs to look into this hotel.

We just needed a place to stay for an overnight layover, so this was a great hotel for the price (under $80 USD). We were ... only there to sleep, so we did not use any of the facilities, but the restaurant looked nice. They have an internet station, but it's not free. The room & bathroom were nice and clean.

Close to Heathrow
Kari Jun 1, 2009
We stayed here because of its location to the airport. It only took us like 10 minutes to get to the airport of the morning ... of our flight. The front desk was nice during check in. Our room was fairly clean. There was fresh blood on the floor in the bedroom and it appeared that the maid didn't even try to clean it up. In the morning the maid came to clean our room so early we were still in bed. I would not recommend eating there at the hotel. The food was not very good and the service was terrible. The prices are very high and they say you get free refills on beverages but they charged us anyway. When I asked the manager about it he said that no one has ever asked for the free refills so we would have to pay it. What a joke!!!! The only thing this place had going for it was the great location to the airport.

Monty May 4, 2009
The hotel was very convenient to Heathrow and transportation was easy, US guest need to buy a three prong adapter or u can ... buy at the hotel. Change your currency at the Airport or there is only one bar down the street to exchange it. Not to get anyone at the hotel in trouble but a visitor was let into my room because he said he knew me. No one should be let into a guest room unless they have ID with the same last name.

Liked the location right near Heathrow, but in a nice neighborhood. Wished it was closer to the bus line, though. Our room ... was quite spacious and quiet for sleeping. Very good value.

We enjoyed the White Hart Pub nearby and had good English meals there twice. We played darts had fun conversations with the locals and liked their selection of ale.
