Beautiful Hotel
Wish I could go again Nov 15, 2009
The hotel was beautiful. They upgraded our room, and we could not have been closer to the beach without getting wet! ... Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating -- it was windy, cloudy, cool, and a little rainy during our whole trip. The food at the hotel was delicious, but expensive. However, everything in Bermuda is expensive, so I think it's comparable to eating in Hamilton.

The water ferries are an inexpensive, enjoyable way to see beautiful Bermuda for a fraction of the price of a taxi.

We took taxis to go shopping in the town. The taxis are very slow to pick you up at the hotel. We suggest having the hotel arrange for the taxi well in advance.

Coco Reef
Vacationing couple Aug 18, 2009
We really liked this hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful with questions. The rooms were spacious and clean (very ... "tropical" feel of decor). It is smaller and less resort-y so probably better for a couple who wants a quieter vacation or for those who don't want to be surrounded by many tourists. For the price though, we expected slightly better/more modern amenities, but not sure what is prevalent on the island. The hotel has it's own section on the end of the beautiful Elbow Beach, which is probably the best thing about it. The location of the hotel is central on the island, not too far to Hamilton by bus and accessible to everywhere else by public transportation. We didn't try the restaurant on site, but could see people dining there. The pool is nice, but smaller and it has 2 tennis courts off to the side.

The buses are on the main street a few minutes walk from the actual hotel (take the path along the Bermuda College, not the actual road). Check the bus schedule and try to get there a few minutes early. Buy tickets / tokens at the front desk (it's cheaper) or one day passes if you plan on traveling alot.

Bermuda Fun Aug 11, 2009
Fantastic! The food was incredible. [...], our waiter, was wonderful. Views from the room were incomparable. It was one ... of my most relaxing times. We rented a scooter this time...definitely the best way to see the island. Would go back today if I could!!!

Warm and Friendly
Cousins Jul 27, 2009
Hotel is small and relatively quiet. Situated in the middle of the island directly on it's own, seemingly private bit of ... beach. A few small two story buildings. Nice sized rooms each with small balcony or patio. Our room let out onto the lawn just steps away from the beach and ocean. Furniture and fixtures are somewhat old and a little worn but that felt quaint and comfortable to me. Just a few staff seemed to run the place. All were very friendly and accommodating. Ate only one meal there, an over-priced (all food on the island is pricey) continental-type breakfast.
Traveler type: Friends
Supermarket just at the end of the long drive/road leading to hotel. We bought fruit, sandwich fixings, etc. Made our own breakfast, and snacks for day trips. Rooms have mini-fridge. Hotel provides tea pot and tea selection upon request, coffee/coffee-maker in the room.

Beautiful beach if you love pink powder sand
stewart Aug 19, 2007
Stayed on second floor overlooking beach which made the hotel worthwhile it. Without that I may have been disappointed. The ... beach which joined Elbow Beach was very nice if you love powder like pinkish sand. The restaurant at one of the neighbouring hotels was more reasonable with the added bonus of being able to sit at a table in the sand! I would go to this hotel again off season when it is priced at half the price. The staff were very nice and friendly.
