I've stayed there twice when visiting our son who attends RPI in Troy. We chose this hotel strictly for cost and location. ... For the money it's acceptable. Rooms appear to be clean, are a good size and convenient to parking. They are in desparate need of paint, new carpet and furnishings. NEVER go there without a scented candle!!! Gal on the desk at check in was more interested in her TV show than helping me and had zero customer service skills. The next morning, the new gal was terrific. The place has potential. Good enough for a cheap one night stay.

Check in was easy but room was a nice size and clean but furniture scratched and damaged. TV old and very small and could ... not watch unless standing in front of it. Bathroom wall tiles did not match the bathtub tiles and light was from the 1960s. I have never stayed in such a depressed area and shabby room

A lousy place to stay

1) Sign of Motel not lit up and so hard to locate 2) Landed there at 1215am and the Reception was closed . had a hard time to ... wake up someone to check in 3) After checking in the door key would not open and the Reception was locked behind. Once again hard time to wake up some one to obtain a key that would work. 4) The staff reissued a key which did not open when the saff tried. The staff ultimately, used her master key to open the room. 5) The only electrical outlet in the room was at 18" from floor near the TV where I could not use my Electric Shaver. 6) By no means the Motel could be even single star rated, where as when I bought on Orbitz site. this Motel was rated 3 star. 7) I strongly feel that this Motel is no better than any Roadside Inn selling at @29.95/Night. I strongly recommend that this Motel is deleted from Orbitz offer.

be aware of hot water problems

We booked for a special Valentines over night treat. we had a king bed jacuzzi room and because of high booking that night ... they ran out of hot water and we were not able to enjoy the jacuzzi until 11pm after calling front desk at 8:30 with concerns it took 3 hours for it to reheat so you could use it. We were very disappointed and fell they should be prepared for this it seems all the jacuzzi rooms are on the same water heater??it kind of made our trip not so special. After speaking to the hotel managers on our return (e-mails) I can report that they made up for our disappointing stay with a solution that was exceptable to us. We did enjoy the onsite rest.

The Latham Cocca's was close to the Albany airport, so close you heard planes all night in their poorly insulated rooms. The ... rooms were relatively clean, yet outdated. The bar/restaurant located on the same property created some unwanted noise outside our room in the early morning. Their was limited outlets in the sleeping area and bathroom. The largest dissapointment for me was the shuttle service, it was and extra $9/per person if you left before 7 a.m. and arrived after 7 p.m.
