Everything seemed really cheap about the hotel but the price tag. The person we dealt with most at the desk was extremely ... unfriendly. The hotel was full during our stay and it seemed as though they had never accomodated that many guests at once before. There were lines of complaints at the front desk. It wasn't even possible to get a 4th pillow for a room 2 people were sharing.

The staff was very accommodating. After spending the day at the Aquarium, we found that this hotel was not a short walk from ... Inner Harbor. However there is plenty of great dining within walking distance of the hotel (hotel offers a list). Also a number of restaurants in Inner Harbor offer complimentary shuttles to their establishments. We would stay here again and explore the Mt. Vernon section of Baltimore.

Very Nice
Sarashea Aug 18, 2009
I loved the hotel from the minute we checked in. It was so pretty an old-fashioned looking, even from the outside. We were ... quickly checked in by very courteous staff. It was very safe, you even had to use your key to make the elevator work. Our room was large, bright, cheerful and very clean. We had an excellent view of the George Washington Memorial in the circle across the street. There was also a very lovely park just across the street as well. I enjoyed watching the dogs and children play in the fountain. The surrounding neighborhood was just adorable and filled with little shops as well as lots of places to eat. Although our room faced a busy street, it was not loud and the pull down shades work very well for blocking out any night-time lights. I did appreciate the complimentary wi-fi. Tere was a great signal and I was able to use my laptop without any problems. One thing that I did not like about the hotel was the valet parking. It cost over $30 ($29 for the parking then plus a car tax). There is nowhere on the street for you to park;you have to have a special neighborhood parking permit or it is 2 hour parking only. I really feel that the parking should be complimentary as well. My husband and I did not walk to the inner Harbor from the hotel but it would be a relatively short walk if that is what you wanted to do. We did walk to go eat dinner at Mick O'Shea's. I think Mick's is mainly a bar/hangout, however, the food was very good. It is just about two blocks away on N. Charles St. But there are lots of other options within walking distance. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and if we travel to Baltimore again, this would be my choice as to where to stay.

we were mislead by the Orbiz web site. Hotel was represented as close to the inner harbor. Vey long walk to get there (10 ... blocks). Up hill the entire way back. $15 taxi ride to get back. Hotel is OK. Nothing much in that area. Donna's was great for breakfast, one block from Hotel.

THe hotel was close to the inner harbor and lots of restaurants, the only issue was parking. You have to pay a large fee for ... the hotel or park on the street and possibly be towed. I would totally come back again.

Nice hotel / not what I expected
James Aug 11, 2008
This was my first stay in Baltimore. I didn't really know the city and since there were like 3 conventions and the Virgin ... Music Festival that weekend, hotel choice was slim. I was allowed to check in very early. The staff was very firendly and helpful. My room was much smaller than expected and I had a view of a red brick wall about 5 feet from my window. The property was further away from the inner harbor and other sites than I thought from looking at the maps. Also, it was a trek to the nearest metro line. I live in NY so I'm used to walking to trains but these were spread out. The hotel would be excellent if you were visitng friends that lived near by or had business close to the hotel. Room service stopped rather early. The bathroom was huge. Almost as big as the room.
