This mysterious city was an important ceremonial center. The 75 foot Pyramid of Kukulcam casts an impressive shadow over the Ball Court, where the game of life and death was played for hundreds of years. A jade jaguar proudly resides inside the pyramid. The Palace of the Columns, the Caracol Observatory and the Temple of the Warriors are proof of a once flourishing civilization. Next visit Valladolid, an enchanting colonial town, where you will have some time for sightseeing and shopping. After you'll move on to the Ik Kil Park with it's magnificent cenote hole. The tour then continues to Hacienda Xaybeh, where a buffet lunch will be offered and dancers will perform typical dances from the region. You're sure to enjoy the beauty of Chichen Itza.

This tour is available daily. It begins at 8:15am and ends at approximately 6:30pm. Pick up times will vary according to hotel location. The tour is not available on December 25 or January 1, and may be cancelled anytime due to extreme weather conditions.

It's usually easiest if this appointment takes place the day after your arrival. During this appointment the Maritur representative will provide you with specific information regarding pick-up for your tour or the meeting point for your tour, as well as answer any other questions you might have. You will also exchange your Orbitz vouchers for Maritur coupons.
