Good hotel for the price. Close to the airport. Although we didn't use free shuttle service to the airport it was nice to ... have the option. Friendly staff. Very comfortable king size bed!

folks were nice. room was dismal. no room darkening drapes and the lights shined in all night, the TV was old and the ... reception was awful, the bathroom was dreary and not well clean, the drain was blocked with hair that i dared not remove and to top it all of the room phone did not work at all. i arrived late and went to sleep and did not complain, but i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Went for the purpose of taking the usmle step 2 exam. Great location to this site. The staff will even drop you off and pick ... you up. Room was fine for a night. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Donuts and tea/coffee provided in the morning. If you're in for a day or 2 and then flying right out this is just the place with a very affordable price. Just remember you get what you pay for. Don't set your expectations higher than that.

Only one staff and that too in the front desk. Asked for towels and dryer. Did not deliver entire night. Called up again in ... the morning and gave the front desk a piece of mind. Fianlly, delivered. Phone does not work in the other room. Icemaker does not work. Chipped doors. Bathroom tiles had patchwork. The AC unit was a joke. Kept switching off and on in the night with lot of noise. The room we had was facing I-90 and the noise was just unbearable. Take my advice and don't waste your 60 dollars. Spring hill suites next door is a much better take.

Great for a quick overnight close to the airport. The shuttle service was prompt, free, and super friendly(a little too ... friendly), but the van stunk. The room wasn't the cleanest either, weird residue in the shower. Super noisey d/t the interstate and cheap doors. For the price I got it at though, totally worth it.

Our room had holes in the walls and door. The mattress was extra soft and was not comfortable to sleep on. The surrounding ... area had no real attractions yet was close to my place of business. The ice machine on the first floor didnt work so I had to use the machine on the second floor across the hotel. The desk clerk made me use my credit card just incase of damages but didnt make the customers ahead of us use one, which I didnt understand? I will NEVER go back!

Hotel was nothing special. I booked it cause it was cheap. I didn't stay in the hotel except for sleeping. It was fine if ... you need a place to crash. I stayed 3 nights. My reservation was not there when I got there but they still got me a room. There was no iron in the room but they got one to me within 5 minutes. I would probably stay again for the price. There was a mouse trap behind the tv but I didn't see any mice.

Overall I must say it was a pretty good deal, the rooms were fairly clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The location ... is great, alot of dining choices not to far away. Our shower didn't work well when we first arrived but the staff moved us to a different room no questions asked. For the price, it exceeded what I expected. They advertise a restuarant but it had been closed since april! That sucked, and the breakfast consisted of small donuts and HORRIBLE coffee, your better off catching breakfast somewhere else.

Around 9 pm the water faucet's handle broke off while I was washing my face. Water was spraying everywhere. I frantically ... called the front desk only to discover the telephone was broken. I ran to the front desk and asked for help. After waiting for 1 hour and the repair man still out of sight, I realized it was up to me to fix it. Luckily I did something right because the spraying stopped. What a fiasco!

There is a little cafe/diner called "Mac's" right down the road from the Garden Hotel which serves breakfast all day. Very good with nice portions and low prices. I would recommend this place if you have the time and desire.

If you do stay here, and you're on a budget like most people these days. Go to the chicago transit website, just google it. Buy a 3 or 7 day pass for use on the cta. You won't believe how much money you can save as opposed to just paying per ride. The buses and trains run everywhere in the downtown area and almost 20 miles out, and this pass will cover it all, for 1 price. My wife and I are very glad we bought those, it can be a long ride, but if you're there for a few days, it gives you a chance to look around while your riding, and maybe just do something on the fly.
