Surely among one of the best hotel experiences I've had. All of the hotel staff from the valet to the front desk and even the ... house keeping were very upbeat and friendly; makes being in the hotel feel warm. From the outside it may seem like an outdated Marriott, but the interrior does not disappoint. Very clean and lavish lobby and excellent rooms. For a 3-star hotel you are definitely getting your money's worth.

Chicago Marriott O'Hare
Disatisfied Business Traveler Oct 9, 2009
Lousy. Hotel traps you into $24 a night parking, with no other options anywhere. So for the price of the hotel plus parking, ... could have stayed downtown Chicago instead. There opinion on rediculous parking was basically "screw you, you have no other choice". $24 a night to park 15 miles away from Chicago in an open area is rediculous. Parking 24 hrs downtown....also $24. So parking adds 35% onto the price of the hotel itself. Hotel also charges $14 a night for internet, with no breakfast unless you want to pay $17 for cheap cafeteria style breakfast. Very few options nearby for other food options. I have spent hundreds of nights in hotels for business in almost every major city in the US and I've never seen a hotel charge so much for every amenity you can think of. I was shocked that you didn't have to pay for each shower. Staying here felt like being financially raped.

Hotel Stay
Kim Oct 6, 2009
I was there for a convention. Hotel staff was very friendly, however, the parking situation was not. You had to pay to park ... at the hotel if you were not a registered guest, even though you were attending the conference. This was very expensive and inconvienent for attendees. Many of the convention particpants complained and were late for class because of the parking.

Overall a Good Stay!
TravelerJeffrey Sep 21, 2009
I had an overall good experience at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare. My check-in desk clerk, [...], was very friendly and ... informative. The interior of the hotel is new looking and very clean. The hotel room looked fresh, was standard size and very clean. The bathroom also looked fresh, new and clean. The only two negatives I had were beyond the control of the hotel: noisy neighbors slamming the heavy room doors and noisy pool waders. But these disturbances were only occasional.

Old school Marriott, new school service
Tadashi Sep 17, 2009
This Marriott is the oldest I have ever stayed in. The doors where small and the the layout is not very conveinent. Too ... speread out, the distance from B wing rooms to the lobby is way too long. The business center is way over priced with no option of billing to your room. Place all printable items on a thumb drive and have the front desk print out for you, free of charge. The service was great for food was tasty and the beds where so very comfortable. All in a great place to say if you are in town on business for a few days.

Relaxing Visit to Chicago
Joe Jul 19, 2009
The staff was helpful in getting us familiar with the train schedule to downtown Chicago. Room service was great, but not ... perfect. There was one time when a portion of the food order arrived luke warm. The pool facilities were satisfactory ... and we like to hang out at the pool. Larger pool would have made it perfect.

Not What I Expected
TwentyTravel, Super Travelers Jul 6, 2009
Interesting stay to say the least. I travel a lot and when I choose Marriott I expect a quality hotel. While the hotel staff ... was extremely friendly (no complaints there) the rooms were very small and the rest of the people staying at the hotel were "odd". I felt like I was at a Super 8, a lot of blue collar types. While I understand Marriott has no direct control over who stays on the property I was a little baffled at how I choose the hotel which had such low class travelers.

The blue line for the CTA is right outside giving this hotel excellent access. It is a good 30-40 minute train ride to downtown, but better than renting a car and paying the $24/night to park at the hotel. I recommend the CTA 3-Day pass which was $14 for unlimited use. The CTA is the "metro", try not to confuse it with the Metra which is a train system for commuters, similar to Tri-Rail in Florida.

The location is perfect for public transportation. You walk for about five minutes to take the blue line train which takes you ... right into the heart of downtown. The staff is very helpful and do their best to help.Free complimentary shuttle from and to the airport. The rooms are very clean, bathroom nice and large. The bed was pretty much comfortable and we had no problems with the a/c.Internet is for a fee in the rooms, but you can acces it for free in the lobby.Check in was pretty quick,we arrived around 12 pm and the room was ready for us.Check out the same not a problem at all.I will recommend it to friends and family.

Pretty good business stay
John at a Conference May 20, 2009
This is a hotel in the heart of a corporate park near O'Hare. Despite its proximity to an airport, the rooms themselves were ... quiet. It's a good hotel for the business traveler, and has an unusual combination indoor/outdoor pool. Good bar, which is always important for me. However, parking is expensive ($24 per day).
