OK Deal - Watch For Extra Charges!
Mitch Aug 15, 2009
Staff was super friendly when checking in. Room was acceptable, but had a small shower stall, and no tub. They do not service ... your room unless you ask them to, and pay a $35 dollar fee. When I asked for clean towels a couple of days later, the guy at the desk was rude. Had to call back later and ask again. Price was sort of ok, considering it was a special event in town. I'd stay there again if the price was right again.

The ampletheater in the Truckee River Walk has all sorts of concerts and faires during the tourist season. It's free and you'll be suprised what you'll find. The day I was leaving they were having a Turkish Festival. Sounds intriuging.

Loved that it was only a short walk over to the river walk. River walk has basketball court, river where you go swimming and tubing. Grassy area where you can have a picnic.

Solid, Good Value and Convienient
Vic Aug 9, 2009
All the staff members were friendly. Several even said hello, that's nice. We stayed during the final weekend of Hot August ... Nights so the town was very busy and I'm sure that is one of the reasons why I had a noise problem as there are a lot of loud cars and concerts. One real nice thing was that we were one block from The Truckee River Walk. This is becoming one of Reno's signature areas. It's also about four blocks to the center of downtown where all of the action was. It's so nice to park the car and walk about. The room was a bit dated but clean. They don't do house keeping during the stay but they do provide towels and such if you forget to hang them up. Just don't caught off guard like one of my neighbors did. All and all it was a very nice stay.

Great Place to stay in Reno
Marcus Jul 6, 2008
The Celebrity Resort in Reno was awesome. The hotel staff were great and even called our room to be sure that everything was ... well and to see if we needed anything. Each day the staff posted bulletins informing all guests of what to do and the cost (if available) around Reno and at the resort. This was most certainly one of the best hotel experiences we have had. The staff were very friendly and answered our questions about how to get around and what was available for activities. We felt safe parking our vehicle on the property. Hands Down A++++ For the property and it's staff!! We can't wait to stay there again!

Cheap food at the CalNeva if you don't mind the Cafeteria style setting. Leave the car parked and be sure to have enough batteries and camera memory for the great pics of old time America with a hint of Las Vegas thrown in.

sleepless in Reno
teresa May 26, 2008
Normally sleepless in Reno is a good thing. However, the reason I couldn't sleep was due to the room conditions. The windows ... were all single paned and the wind howled all night. The side of the bed that was closest to the window was drafty and cold. The heater would make a loud noise and kicked on about every 15 minutes.

Great for business traveller
Eric Jul 7, 2007
The initial check in was great, very friendly staff. Briefed me on what the hotel policies were and what type of activities ... were going on during the week. A/C was not working in the room, called to see if someone could check it. Went out that morning and someone did repair it. Next day it was blowing warm and someone came up within 10 minutes, checked it, and mentioned it had to be repaired and I had to be relocated to another room. Within 15 minutes I had new set of keys for a room right across the hall. Everything else was great. One problem is the parking, did not seem to have enough parking if the hotel was full. Location is good, walking distance to downtown and a quiet area. It was a very good value for the price. Will stay there again.

The Celebrity Resorts Reno was very cute and comfortable, the room was like a cute little studio appartment. I like that it ... had a sofa and coffee table area that made it feel more like home. The little gym was very nice and usefull. I would defenitely come back and stay at this hotel again. It is a great bargain for your money.

Clebrity Resorts Reno was an Okay hotel. The room was clean, and there was a kitchenette with a coffee maker. our only ... complaint was that there was no housekeeping services on weekends. we were able to get clean towels on request. i just feel we should have been informed at check-in. it would not have been that big of a deal had we known.
