Great little resort

A great little resort that offers alot. I would recommend this to anyone who wants R & R with plenty to do just down the ... street. The staff is very friendly and tries very hard to make your stay perfect. The food is presented well but not quit to our liking and a little over priced. The dinning room's ombiance makes up for some of the shortfalls. I highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed this hotel! The pool and beach were both fantastic and beautiful, and the grounds were beautifully kept. ... We enjoyed eating in the open-air restaurant and were pampered by the very friendly bilingual staff. This is a great venue for relaxation and for those who love the beach- it is not really near much in the way of towns and nightlife, but if your vacation goal is to chill out at a beautiful resort, this is the place!

Don't worry about booking your excursions before you get to costa rica- the hotel has a full list of fantastic tours and adventures (Canopy zip lining, volcanic hot springs, jet skis, etc) available through a local guide. We found that this was the best way to do things!

delicious breakfast, beautiful beach, great rooms, gated resort, great service. they give you a fruit drink when you check ... in. butterflies, geckos, iguanas everywhere. beautiful shells on the beach. about 20min drive from liberia airport. we took a trip from our hotel to monteverde (interbus ~$30) and stayed one night there (manakin lodge $45), then took jeep boat jeep to arenal ($25) and spent one night there (hotel la fortuna $50), then interbus back to liberia ($35) then taxi to playa panama ($20). great trip. also did day trip to tamarindo (1.5h) and day trip to rincon de la vieja (1.5h where there are some great hikes). be advised that the roads are really bad and sometimes poorly marked, so it's best to have SUV if you'll be driving. the only downside to casa conde was that the room key constantly was deactivated so we had to keep going to the front desk to get it reactivated. very minor inconvenience. overall great!

Casa Conde Del Mar is a small (20 rooms) hotel on Playa Panama with an excellent restaurant. Very laid back and low key there ... is no pressure on the guests to do much of anything. THe staff is friendly and seem genuinely interested in making the guests feel welcome. Within easy driving distance of Coco Beach and Liberia the hotel is nicely situated, but still very private. The rooms, five groups of four rooms each, are comfortable with two queen size beds per room. The bathrooms have a generously sized shower stall and the vanity area is separate from the bathroom. Each room is supplied with a blow drier and iron and ironing board. Closet and dresser space is quite good. The hotel grounds are nicely planted and cultivated. An ideal low key no-pressure Central American get-away spot.
