Capella Pedregal

From the minute we drove through the tunnel entrance and saw our "welcome committee" right by the Pacific Ocean, we knew we ... were at a special hotel. We have stayed at many 5-star properties and Capella is one of the best. The service was exemplary and the staff would go to extremes to honor any request. Don Manuel's restaurant offered excellent service and food and accommodated our special requests for vegetarian, spicy items. Our room was very clean, spacious, decorated nicely, and had a wonderful private balcony infinity pool. We looked forward to our nightly turn-down sweets. Every afternoon at 4, chips, salsa and ice-cold beer was delivered to our room. The refrig was stocked daily with complimentary soft drinks, juices and waters. The location was great. The hotel offered a golf-cart ride through the tunnel so you could easily walk to the marina for dining, shopping, boating, parasailing, snorkeling. The personal assistant's did a super job of helping book private taxi tours, chartered sailboats, airport transportation. Another interesting trip is the Cerritos Beach Club. A great location to take surfing lessons, get a beachfront massage or just hang out at a very cool beach club with super-friendly staff. We would definitely stay at Capella again!

Edith's restaurant was fabulous. Beautiful decor, outside seating, outside grill, wonderful seafood. Very bright, colorful and authentic. We ordered shrimp, lobster, sea bass and it was cooked to perfection. Lobster bisque was also nice as well as their homemade breads.
