Nice...but not great.
Pamelam Oct 19, 2009
Overall we found this hotel to be s tad bit shabby. The person who checked us in was impersonal and coolish. The next day the ... woman behind the desk was as friendly as can be..(wished she had checked us in). The room was clean but looked and felt worn out. Sure wish there was a coffee machine in the room! Our room was on the ground floor parking lot side..so car noise and headlights were disturbing. Didn't eat there, but used the pool. Nice. A little crowded between 9p-10p, but the big size of the pool accommodated all.

We enjoed West Yarmouth beaches. The hotel's location was perfect and convenient, very close to the beaches and yet very ... close to all the restaurants to go out in the evening. The hotel had everything moore that we ecpected. The only thing that was missing for us that would have made us stay more was money and time.

Wonderful time for families
Jenn and Dave May 26, 2009
This was definitely one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at while vacationing on the Cape. Easy to find. There was a used ... tissue left in one of the beds but the staff changed all the bedding within 15 mins of me calling the front desk. The pools were great. If booking, try to get a room closer to the pool-we were at the entire other end of the building. No pest issues. Only truly negative thing was you have to bring this card to the front desk to get towels for the pool but to get the card back to go swimming again you have to immediately bring back the towels. So we dripped ourselves all the way back to our room!!! Word of advise-bring your own towels.

I felt that the price for a room on Cape Cod during the off season was acceptable and a good value. I base that on the ... upkeep of the hotel and the attention to detail, as well as the cleanliness of the room. The staff was helpful and the wireless internet was free. It was conveniently located within a few miles of several restaurants. Again, it was satisfactory, but overrated.

Great Value for Families
Lydia Jun 29, 2008
The Cape Point Hotel was a great value. It was located directly on Route 28 with easy access to restaurants, shopping and ... beaches were less than 1 mile away. The room was spacious and had a TV, small refrigerator and ironing board. Our only complaint was that the mattresses were not very comfortable. The amenities were a small restaurant, indoor pool, saunas, outdoor pool, fitness center, free internet and wifi in the lobby and free coffee 24-hr a day. I would stay there again, but hope they upgrade the mattresses in the future.

My review of Cape Point Hotel
Russell Wade Apr 5, 2008
The hotel in a general sense was very nice for most travelers. However, my wife is handicapped and has to use a wheelchair ... more often than not. Her major complaint was the soft beds which is not good for people with back and leg problems. They did not have any foam pads for the mattresses. I went out and bought a foam pad to make it a little more comfortble for her. That didn't work. She was in bad shpe in the morning. We decided we had to go home.

Hilal Mar 18, 2008
The hotel has a bunch of facilities, such as a large swimming pool, a hot tub, a small breakfast room, fitness, and a bar. ... They have a free wireless internet, but you have to go to the pool & reception area to get it running fast. It is either a lousy or no connection in the room. We stayed in March, so it was pretty cold especially at night. The heat was quite weird and interesting. It would work when there is someone in the room, but if you are asleep, just forget about it because that device is motion activated, and would start working when you move around. We got up into a freezing room each morning of our stay. One other thing is, the heat would blow cold air sometimes, which got me concerned about getting up with a back pain or something!! The room was quite small, and there was no enough space for two people's belongings. On the hand, it was so quiet and welcoming for reading, sleeping, resting, etc. There was a refrigerator, VCR and DVD player in the room, so you may wanna bring a couple of movies. The breakfast service was so convenient. The food was NOT fantastic, just okay, but still, it was a lot better than going out and looking for a decent place for breakfast. The breakfast menu prices were also fairly inexpensive. The location of the hotel is wonderful. The hotel is close to pretty much everywhere in the lower Cape. There are close beaches, Cape Mall, bunch of restaurants, a few Christmas Tree Shop stores, and some t-shirt and sweatshirt outlet stores. Room cleanliness was okay, could have been better, but nothing about cleaning made us upset, so I give credit for that. If you are staying in winter, just be careful about the heat situation. I recommend this hotel. Fair value for the money, but next time, I will bring a portable heater. :)

Try Sam Diego's Mexican Restaurant if you are up to Mexican food. Short distance, great atmosphere and authentic decoration, affordable prices, and delicious margaritas. We also tried Uno Chicago Restaurant, which is three minutes driving away, and located right after the rotary. We loved the deep dish pizza and tropical margarita.

The Cape Point Hotel was an ok hotel, no frills, but clean and the room was very quiet, we didnt hear any other visitors at ... all. The bed was old though and the box spring had some unknown stain on it but the bedding itself was clean. Nice big bathroom, good shower. We ate breakfast both mornings in the hotel cafe, very friendly and very fast service, the breakfasts were good and resonably priced. We were close to the beach, just a couple of minutes drive. Except for the creaky old bed, all in all a decent place to stay.

Great Location - Good Value
Dawn Sep 3, 2007
The Cape Point Hotel was comfortable, convenient and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. The rooms were clean and ... the location of the hotel allowed you to eat within walking distance if you wanted to. There was a neat Carp Pond on the lower level, 2 beautifully kept pools (indoor and outdoor) and a Sport's lounge/restaurant on the premises. We did not have a chance to go there but there seemed to be some decent specials, etc. Hyannis Center was a quick drive and we went to 3 different beaches - one of them Craigville - that were beautiful and only about 15 minutes away. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable.
