Tucked into the steep mountainside that overlooks the scenic bay of Puerto Marques, is the exclusive touristic development Pichilingue-Diamante.
Here, in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings rises Camino Real Acapulco Diamante, an architectural development that seems to be sculpted in the rock. The golden tones of its walls harmonize with the turquoise blue of the sea and the diverse green hues of the lush and beautiful vegetation.
The canopies that decorate the terraces bring to mind the elegance of European hotels. All of our 157 exquisitely decorated rooms and suites have a scenic view of Puerto Marques Bay.
The International Airport is just fifteen minutes South from the hotel, and the Costera Miguel Aleman and Acapulco's Downtown are located fifteen minutes North from the hotel.
Camino Real Acapulco Diamante has three beautiful swimming pools with an oceanview, in different levels, with a waterfall and a volleyball net, for the enjoyment and pleasure of our guests.
We have two specialty restaurants for the most demanding palate:
Cabo Diamante, with international cuisine and open from 7:00 am till 11:00 pm
La Vela a seafood restaurant where our specialty is the pescado a la talla. It is open from 1:00 pm till 6:00 pm (lunch) / from 6:00pm till 11:00 pm (dinner).

Vacation Friendly
Jessica Nov 1, 2008
The Camino Real Acapulco was a perfect place for me and my husband because it offered what we were looking for: Relaxation in ... a beautiful setting. The room was nice and it overlooked an awe inspiring bay. The service and food were excellent. They had a mix of American dishes as well as wonderful Mexican dishes for a very fair price. The location was great because it was secluded with a small private beach and 3 swimming pools. This place was a great value for the beauty and the amenities it had to offer.

Enrique Apr 13, 2008
It has a great location, private and comfortalbe, 3 pools with an great view and defined clearly for kids and adults. The ... only thing I think that is missing is variety in the shops, there is only one that carries very poor selection of merchandise at awsome high prices, if you want to buy a bathing suite you just have one store,as the hotel is not located intown it would be a must. All else, great!!!!

WEEKEND RELAX
Armin Feb 24, 2008
Camino Real Acapulco is a good option to visit for a weekend doing nothing but relaxing. Especially if you live in or close ... to Mexico City. It just takes you a 3h ride to get there. You pretty much don't want to leave the hotel. Althoug Acapulco is really close the traffic getting into the city might cost you some relaxation points. Our food recomendation are the fish tacos in the hotel restaurant next to the hotel beach - La Vela. With salsa de molcajete and a cold Pacifico beer they are a fantastic afternoon snack.

My review of Camino Real Acapulco Diamante
URBANO Jul 30, 2007
The hotel is very secluded, clean, I will say that it has the best beach area in Acapulco. The rooms are spacious, and the view ... is magnificient. The hotel has two restaurants ,there OK but there pricey for what they offer, for example breakfast buffet for $18.00 dollars.

Old and poorly maintained
Alexander May 30, 2007
Hotel has not been maintained in a decade (at least) and you will find rust in the bathroom, paint that is peeling ... everywhere, and the cheapest pool ammenities (chairs, etc.). Oh, and it is so far away from any road where you may catch a cab that the hotel cabs charge $80 pesos just to get you to the main road... it is more like $160 pesos to get you anywhere in the main tourist beaches / areas.

Nice Hotel w/an excellent staff
Lisette May 29, 2007
The Camino Real was a comfortable, yet distant hotel. The hotel was far from the city, about a 20 minute cab ride into town. ... The rooms just need to get a bit upgraded. We stayed on the 2nd floor & the view was beautiful. The food was alright at best, a bit pricey. If you want to just relax in Acapulco, then this is the place for you. Very family oriented for the little ones.

all is good but checkout and room service
Alexander May 27, 2007
Room service entered the room with do not disturb sign clearly displayed at the door. Minibar was filled up with something of ... no value to us which rendered it unusable. When we took something out to free up some space for couple apples and oranges, they charged us at the time of checkout. Whatever is taken out of minibar - should be payed for. customers are not allowed to bring food and drinks in the hotel. Have them remove everything out of minibar prior to moving in the room.

SECLUDED VACATION
WILLIAM May 23, 2007
This was a wonderful place to visit...out of the hussle and bussel of Acapulco. This was a very quiet place...May is a great ... time to go since most of the tourists are gone for the season. However, be ready to spend in taxi fare to get in and out of town. An easy $50.00 round trip to get there but it is worth it and every time you come back to the Camino Reale you enjoy the peace and quiet. The restaurants viewing Acapulco have wonderful views. Most enjoyable Kokoburros and La Vista Restuarants. La Vista had the best lobster...super large and Kokoburros had great seafood too! The water at the hotel was good to drink...the breakfast (from the club room) was wonderful with a hint of Mexican flavors to try. We never felt uncomfortable or concerned about there we were. Our driver from the Tour Group was fantastic! He took care of our coming and goings all the while we were there so we knew where to shop. He arranged all our dinner tables making sure we had the best table available. And his english was great! We learned alot more about Acapulco that most would. As for him...he was great! Downfalls...few...the Sunset cruise we paid for (even though it said transportation was included) Tour Group would not honor...don't know why. The hotel made a mistake by charging for breakfast and evening drinks (that were included) but quickly reversed those charges without hesitation. Besides that the people in Mexico were wonderful...you can feel very comfortable there.

Relaxing
Glynna May 10, 2007
Camino Real Acapulco is a great hotel - very relaxing. My room on the third floor was very large and had a great view. The ... hotel is very quiet and the staff was great. My only disappointment was the food--I was never able to exactly determine when the restaurants and bars (pool bar and lobby bar) were open - they never seemed to be open at all during the day. The breakfast buffet was very good - somedays better than others. The rest of the food I ate was just not up to par; if you have a car or want to take a cab into town, obviously you would have more options.
