The hotel was fine but for the price at $200.00 a night the least they could offer was breakfast. Most hotels in the area ... serve breakfast to guests, included in the room price. Had to call two days in a row for sugar and cream for the coffee because it was not left by housekeeping.

Very Good especially for the Price
Go4broke Apr 22, 2009
First off the staff was fantastic. Warm friendly and immediately responsive to any request. There was construction ... outside during the day that shook the entire building (I don't think that will be there long) There is only 1 ice machine for 9 floors, so if you weren't on the right floor you had to take the elevator. And the snack machine is on a different floor from the ice machine. The furniture wasn't really great quality, the bed was great with a leather headboard, the desk was nice but the rest looked like it was from Ikea. The hotel is small and the room I was in was fairly small. But that is to be expected in any large city. Everything was spotless, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place. Overall the Hotel is small but the staff is very professional and I could easily see them running a much more upscale hotel than this one. (p.s. Don't eat breakfast in the Hotel, menu choices are limited and just a bit odd. There wasn't a simple breakfast choice on the menu, I would say it was all gourmet choices, and for breakfast I like things simple)

Convenient location, great restaurant
Nancy Sep 21, 2008
My son and I were very happy with the Bulfinch. The central location -- walking distance to the MBTA, Quincy Market, Boston ... Common, and North End -- was terrific. Not in a scenic area of town (near Government Center) but the hotel building itself is a charming flatiron style. I had a fantastic breakfast at the restaurant onsite. The room was not large but was well equipped and newly decorated.

Great Nights Rest!
Edward Mar 13, 2008
Probably the most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever slept on in a hotel. Room was a little small but I'm sure it had a ... lot to do with the shape of the hotel. Food in the Tappas Bar was excellent and the service was great. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great Location
Sheila Mar 9, 2008
The Bulfinch was in a great location, met our travelling needs for this trip. The only thing, when we left the parking ... gargage, they wanted to charge us for parking and we had already paid at the hotel. We didn't have a receipt because the hotel wasn't able to issue receipts (they were having problems with their computers). The parking garage attendant finally called the hotel, but this all took about 15 minutes.

The TD Banknorth is just a short walk, as is the downtown.
