I visited the Broadway strip everyday- that was wonderful, next time I will stay near there because the rooms have to been ... cleanier. I've never been to a hotel and had to ask 3 times to get towels and wash clothes, didn't even have enough in the room when I checked in. When I finally went to front desk to get the items they wanted me to go back to my room to get the dirty ones and then they would give me clean ones, I said no, that someone needed to come and clean the room and they could bring down the dirty ones. Finally he gives me clean towels, but no wash clothes. I know it was labor day but come on, you should have enough wash clothes and towels for all the rooms; its a hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again, not clean enough for me, but if you will be out of the room majority of the time, you might enjoy it.

Disappointed, Not Discouraged!
TJ Sep 8, 2009
The air conditioner leaked and maintenance had to repair it, one of the remotes did not work and had to be replaced. It took ... them until 7:30pm to bring us towels, and I was told it was because the towels were still drying. What kind of resort doesn't have enough towels to make sure every guest can have replacement towels! This is a first. They were nice, but the place just isn't well maintained or run!

The AC did not work in the first room was given a second room but the AC was running but not cooling enough. Breakfast ... buffet dining area AC was out and very hot. They could not keep up with enough food to supply all the customers that came in for breakfast. Very disappointed with the service at this resort and would not reccommend this resort to my family or friends to stay there. Did not have customer comment/complaint cards in the lobby and the desk clerk could not find any. Was not told about the $100 deposit when we booked the room.

Bluewater staff is great!
Betsy Aug 25, 2009
we were really impressed with the staff, who provided great service. Our room was really clean. The beds had really good ... supportive mattresses and the oceanfront balcony was delightful. Even though we went for peace and quiet, we found the families there singing karaoke and playing around the pool were entertaining in the evening. There was no bad behavior among the guests and I believe the friendly security guard would have prevented that. All the guests had fun in a true wholesome family way. We wanted to try the breakfast buffet but there was no air conditioning in the restaurant, which was a disappointment. We went out for breakfast at one of the many choices in the neighborhood.

Location was great, staff was polite our kids enjoyed the small, but plenty of pools specially the lazy river... the room was ... some what dirty.. The towels were old, grayish and raggety. We were suppose to have 2 queen beds, got one queen and one full which was in awful shape... The thermostat didn't have a face plate so we had to guess the room temperature to set. The remote controls for the TVs didn't work either. But I guess you get what you paid for... For what we paid for the room, it was good enough and if you are like me, looking for something cheap and good enough... This place is it.

Great place to stay
Rhonda and friends Jul 21, 2009
My friend and I wanted to go on a reasonably priced vacation to Myrtle Beach. We shoppped around for weeks to find the best ... hotels and ended up with Bluewater Resort. When we arrived, check-in was fast and easy. We had made reservations for a street-view room and thought that we would just be in the main resort with a view of the street. Turns out we were across the street in Villa 2. We were bummed at first but after seeing our cute and quaint room with a kitchen, table and clean bathroom, we knew we made the right choice. Since there were no hotels in front of us across the street, we still got an ocean front view! Overall, our stay was great. It was an older hotel so it wasnt perfect, but I definitely enjoyed my stay and have no complaints.

The Villas at this hotel are a great value for the price. The rooms were clean an had all of the necessities that a family ... would need. A plus is that although the Villas are on the other side of Ocean Blvd, you can still sit out on the balcony and see the ocean across the street.

We were not told about the deposit needed before we arrived. We asked for 2 queen beds and got 1 bed and a pull out sofa, not ... good when 2 of the people have bad backs and need a bed and have to sleep on a pull out instead. The lazy river and at least 1 pool was out of service, would have been nice to know before hand. It took 20 minutes atleast to check in even though it was already paid for, 30 minutes or more to check out. Glad we only had to stay 1 night.

Nicole silver Jun 3, 2009
When we first got there there was a line to check in and no where to park. WHen we finally got up to the desk the woman kind ... of ignoured us, then perceded to tell us that there was a deposit that we had no clue about. The rooms were so small and hard to walk through. The room i reserved was supossed to be ocean front and we got ocean view. When we asked for more towels they brought them in a trash bag. The only good thing about this hotel was the pools were were perfect for swimming laps.

Worst stay anywhere, ever!
Experienced business traveler Jun 1, 2009
Upon check into the room, everything seemed fine. When it was time for bed I noticed that there was not an alarm clock ... in the room. When I first tried to call downstairs for a wake up call, my face started sticking to the phone. Someone had spilled what I hope was soda in the receiver, which the maids DIDN'T clean. After cleaning the phone and sbrubbing my face, I called the automated system to set my wake up call. A robotic voice told me that I had set my wake up call for 6:30am on October 20th 1980. It happens to be May 2009. So, for back up, I called the fortt desk to set my wake up call to which I was told that everything was set. NO WAKE UP CALL CAME!!!! The next day, after working all day, I came back to the hotel room around 8pm. My room had not been cleaned and there was still no alarm clock, which was promised by the morning staff. The main thing I look for in a hotel in a restaraunt. Their's was not in operation. I would not have booked here if I had known. Upon checking out. The manager [...] would not come to the front desk to talk to me.

A Great View and Soo Much More!!!
Vacation Management Mahtob May 31, 2009
The hotel was totally amazing. I enjoyed the living/dining room with fully furnished kitchen that even came with dishes, ... appliances, even cooking utensils. It felt like home away from home. Every room had a view of the ocean which was beautiful, and it was so close to the beach. I loved the 3 pools and two hot tubs, and the sauna was well worth it. It was minutes from a great amusement park that I thoroughly enjoyed and there were so many great shops and resturants it was unbelieveable. The room was spotless and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Checking in and out might be a delay, so try to get there as early as possible. Also, parking can be a real drag. They do however have parking across the street with a six story garage, but if you decide to go shopping, I suggest you unload before you park. I enjoyed the getaway and I am definitely visiting this hotel again, and next time I'm bringing the family!

Rent a scooter for the day. Everything you need is such a short distance. The restaurants are everywhere, but try to get to them early because they do tend to close early if you dine later than others. There were so many places to shop and there are three amusement parks nearby. Two are right across the street from one another and the other is about a 15-20 drive from the hotel. We didn't get a chance to visit the last amusement park seeing that there was so much to do nearby but ther were also plenty of theater with dining places that were incredible. Coupons are located everywhere, so be sure to stop by one of the visitor's center, or pick up flyers right there at the hotel in the lobby.
