We really loved the condo that we rented. The free wireless internet worked without having to sign up for anything, just plug ... in the cable and jump on the internet. The rooms were spacious and the balcony overlooking the pool and lake was just the icing on the cake. We enjoyed everything about our stay at this wonderful location. There is no place to eat at this resort, but we were able to have food delivered. The full sized fridge with double doors and an icemaker were also a special touch.

Terrible honeymoon at Blue Heron Beach

It was our honeymoon and we didnt get the room that we had reserved. Even though we had the description in writing, the ... hotel wouldnt give us the correct room. They charged us extra from what Orbitz did to get the right room. The manager was terrible telling us that the problem was between us and Orbitz and that they didnt deal with Orbitz any longer, which was a lie. Orbitz wasnt any help either, thanking us for our order but not helping at all. Stating sometimes you dont always get the room you order. What is that. No way to run a business. The room was dirty and just an overall terrible vacation. Nice honeymoon.

Five minutes from the Disney Resorts. Numerous restaurants to choose from. Shop nearby when you want to eat in. I would ... have given this 5 stars but the description of the number of beds in the deluxe suite didn't quite fit the bill. There is only one such suite in each of the two towers so you may find yourself short of two double beds and get hallway bunkbeds instead. But overall it delivers. Be sure to get your theme park tickets from the "guide" in the lobby for great discounts.Look out for the volcano at the adjacent mini-golf!

Nice but front desk could improve

Blue Heron Beach Resort, Orlando, Florida was very comfortable and room was nice. There was plenty of room. The staff left a ... little to be desired. Upon checking out the girl at the front desk insisted that we were actually checking out of a totally different room then we actually stayed in. It was not worth the arguement. Overall it was nice and would stay again.

This hotel had the most inviting pool side and lake view. Great location, not far from mini mall, restaurants and ... blockbusters. Wanted to relax and did just that. Very quiet and nice whirlpool bath in master bedroom.

Not what I expected

We arrived at the hotel before check-in so, our room was not ready yet. This did not bother us. We assumed they needed the ... time to clean the room. However, when we finally checked into our room, there were fingerprints all over the glass tabletops. There was candy stuck to the kitchen floor and countertops. There were bread crumbs all over the kitchen counters. The floors had not been vacuumed. When we pulled back our bed sheets, there were hairs stuck in the sheets. We had to wash the sheets with bleach and wipe down all of the counters before we could even do anything else. We all slept on the sofa bed the first night. My husband complained the next day to the front desk, and they sent housekeeping up to reclean our room. We still had to mop the kitchen floor ourselves, even after the second visit from housekeeping. We basically just tried to spend as much time as possible outside of our hotel rooms.

Our stay at the Blue Heron was wonderful. I took this trip with my sister and a sister friend, and we had a blast. The hotel ... is close to every eatery possible and for all you NY metropolitan area dwellers there is a Starbucks right at the front gate. It was wonderful. Having two bathrooms for three women was great. I especially loved having our one bedroom room overlooking the large pool and Lake Bryan. It was a welcoming site every morning. Having the internet hookup was also great. Eventhough you are on vacation sometimes there is still business that must be handled and having the internet was essential. The bedroom was comfortable considering I was away from home. The kitchen and the whole layout of the condo was excellent. We are definitely looking forward to our next trip only next time we will need the two or three bedroom as our husbands will not let us go away again without them. lol

Staying in this 1-bedroom resort condo was a very pleasant experience. Having a washer and dryer right there was handy, a ... full kitchen was good for preparing our own meals on our own schedule. With two bathrooms for two of us .... what can I say! We could easily have had our son and family (2 adults, 2 children) share this condo and not be too crowded. A lovely view over the lake, sunrise was lovely; we didn't try the pools, but they looked great and very clean. Very handy to Disney World, many stores (outlets too) and restaurants. It is a good place to just take a couple of days and relax in the condo, read, nap, swim and such.
