Great location for Miller Park
Anonymous Sep 28, 2009
The only reason to stay at this hotel is the proximity to the ball park as there is nothing much else located nearby. The ... hotel and rooms are clean and sufficient, but worn. The staff were fine and the breakfast was what you would expect. There was quite a bit of noise over night due to some rather drunk baseball fans, but i expected that. The location makes the stay worth it.

The motel is 3/4 mile from Miller Park so we could walk to the Brewer games. Every time we are there it's the same friendly ... people, same clean rooms, and a nice neighborhood bar and grill downstairs. The continental breakfast is very good too. Especially the fresh hard boiled eggs.

A good place to stay...
pj Jul 4, 2009
The room was clean. The beds were really comfortable with 4 down filled pillows each. The only thing this room could have ... used was a refrigerator. The linen was clean and crisp on the beds. The swimming pool area was fantastic. Huge pool with seating all around or if you prefered an outdoor seating arrrangement they accomodated you with a fenced in area outside also. Large Whirlpool. Fitness room. Restaurant was strange though. It was in the basement and it really felt like you were eating in the basement. The potato pancakes were awful that were included with the Fish Fry. Overall hotel was good. Location was great. Restaurant bad. Not to worry though lots of places to eat in the area.

Trip to Milwaukee was a blast!
Milwaukee Traveler Jul 3, 2009
Everything was great for the location of this hotel. A quick cab ride and we were right at the Summerfest grounds. Well ... worth staying away from the huge crowds and getting a break from them. My only complaint was the maintenance staff. We were "Scolded" for using the ice machine to keep a cooler cold, and it was quite upsetting. Other than that, I would say this place is a great hotel off the beaten path, and there is plenty of Milwaukee to see close by!

Checking in was a bit rocky because the hotel had no reservation for us.They got us a manager,we explained how we book ... through Orbitz But they still could not find us.I had booked & paid for a room with a double bed bit all they had left was a room with a single bed so we had to take that. The manager was able to help us & we were able to get that same room for saturday nite as well. Also, the hotel should have told us about the bus that goes back&forth to the Milwaukee Mile.We just found out about that friday nite after walking 2 miles in the rain from the track to the hotel.

The room was super small, the hotel it self was noisy. There is a lounge in it's lower level open until 2am on Friday and ... Saturday. The music was heard in the room. But best of all at 10:30pm guest services knocks at our door to let us know that they recieved calles indicating that we are to loud. They only thing loud was the TV. We were watching Hairspary and could not hear over the bar music. We checked out early!

OK for the price
Family Traveler Mar 24, 2009
First family trip to Milwaukee. We passed the hotel up initially because it looked like a storefront. The staff was ... nice. The room was OK except we didn't have enough towels for the family, requested them, and never got them. Also, the toilet was running all night. The halls were a little cramped. This hotel is connected to some kind of apartment complex, so the parking selection is not as vast as it appears. The hotel is a little outdated but that adds to its quaint, friendly, feel. The continental breakfast was nice-felt like eating breakfast in granny's kitchen. It had a 60ish feel but was clean and comfortable. They had free internet use but there was only one computer to be shared by all tenants. Overall, it was clean and friendly but could stand remodeling.

A Good Value
Virginia Nov 15, 2008
This was our first overnight trip to Milwaukee. We chose this hotel because of location and price. The room was large enough ... and had a table and chairs which my husband really likes in a hotel room. The hotel could use a little updating but for the price it was fine. Everything was clean. We didn't have to pay to park like a downtown hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. We used the pool. It was a lot bigger than some hotel pools. The only drawback was the restaurant on premisis. I am not a smoker and it is a restaurant/bar that permits smoking. I couldn't eat there but got several suggestions from the staff and enjoyed a very nice Italian restaurant several blocks away. We would definitely stay there again.

We were in Milwaukee to visit the Harley Davidson Museum. The museum was only six miles from the hotel and very easy to get to. While in Milwaukee we also visited the Pabst Mansion and the Sprechter Brewery. Both of these attractions were minutes away from the hotel.

Warren Aug 9, 2008
The Best Western Woodsview Inn was a well-kept hotel. The room was very nice and there was a big pool area (although there ... were no towels at the pool deck for some reason). Free parking. The big plus for our family was that we could walk to Miller Field from the hotel (an unexpected plus). If someone is going to a baseball game in Milwaukee, a perfect choice.

The Best Western Woodsview Inn was a wonderful place to stay while we were in Milwaukee. The staff from front desk, ... maintance, and housekeeping was very friendly and helpfully. I never sleep well in new places, but the bed was so great I slept like a baby both nights. The room was so huge, plenty of space for all our stuff and us, we never felt cramped for space. We tryed out the fitness area and every machine worked then we went swimming, the water was cool, but all pools are to me. Surprized by the size of the pool and sitting area HUGE. We will stay there again anbd will recommend the Inn to friends.

Brewer Ball Game
sue Sep 1, 2007
We chose Best Western Woodsview Inn for a Friday night Brewer game as it seemed to be the closest to Miller Park. We checked ... in about 3 pm and our room was ready. The hotel is older, as are the rooms, but everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a breeze parking in the hotel parking lot, checking in, and then walking to the game. Miller Park is only about a 20 minute walk from the hotel -- unless you make a stop at one or two of the bars along the way. After the game, we slept well with no interruptions, and grabbed a few items from the complimentary breakfast at checkout. Will definitely be staying there again!
