Not fancy but reasonable value

Older property but convenient to Highway 401 and Toronto International Airport as well as businesses and conference centres ... on the west side of Toronto. The TV and remote didn't work on arrival but this was fixed promptly. The shuttle bus to the airport was free and efficient. Parking is free for registered guests and there is extended parking for people with flights.

The attached restaurant is not that great (for the price). I suggest driving a short distance for a other options...or walk to the shops outside the lobby for decent Viet food restaurant.

The good: Clean room, rooms are partially updated (new beds and decorations). Pool/spa/sauna were not busy. The bad: The ... rooms have poor heat/cold controls, the maint. staff is not too responsive, some of rooms not updated - old TVs and shower stalls.

Surprising Disappointment

I thought we would be safe going with a brand name hotel and we have enjoyed staying at OTHER Best Westerns, so it was very ... disappointing that conditions were poor at this hotel. Cutting corners and band-aid fixes were evident throughout and the only reason we didn't find somewhere else to stay was the fact that the bed was comfortable even though the sheets were wrinkled and not even tucked in. This experience has made us cautious to stay at other BW.

Convenient for making a flight

The hotel was very full the night I stayed there and guests were noisy in the hallways--a situation that would not always be ... true. It was very convenient for what I wanted, which was an easy place from which to get to the airport first thing in the morning. The free shuttle was terrific and staff was very helpful.

Close enough to airport

This Best Western was midway through some rennovations with materials especially obvious outside. The hallways weren't ... airconditioned for some reason and it was hot, but the A/C in the room was on and the temp. was good. The beds were comfortable. The decor adequate for this level of hotel. The bathroom was also adequate with towels that were a step down from plush. WE didn't use the restaurant but instead drove about 8 miles away from the airport area chain restaurants to a good bistro on Dundas st. We drove to the airport (somewhat complicated to navigate the highways) and I'm glad we did because the 'free airport shuttle' group appeared stressed out. Not sure why.

My review of Best Western Toronto Airport West

I like the location.It's so closed to the highway and very easy to find.It's very convenient,it's next to a gas ... station,restaurant and convenient store. The room is large and well equipped with things you need like iron, ironing board, hair blower and coffeemaker. The staff were friendly and nice. We had a very comfortable and wonderful stay.

A chinese restaurant is next door to the hotel. All other eateries are just short distance away.
