We struggled with cool water for two days finally ending up with cold! We were below the work out room and there was ... constant pounding on our ceiling even after I called the front desk. I finally had to go upstairs myself and politely ask the person to stop the noise. He gently agreed

It's all good
We went in January, so the weather was the worst thing about our trip and it was a whole lot better than what we left ... behind! Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Excellent staff! Plan on making this a regular winter getaway.

was expecting more.
The pool had so much chlorine you could not enjoy it, it was heavy in the air at the pool. Parking was a full block away. I ... thought that the room would have been larger. It was just ok. We will not be coming back. On the positive side, the room was clean. The bathroom was also very small.

It was a anniversary getaway for me and the fiance. A getaway it most certainly was :) Staff was very friendly and readily ... available. Even got to check-in well before expected. Room was very clean and upkept. The view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. We were in a oceanfront room. The best part was when the sun rose in the morning. The price couldn't be beat for what we got. Will surely book again. :D

I visited the hotel in the winter so I can't speak for the pools and what the hotel is like when there are tons of people ... staying there, but the weekend I went in December it was really nice. By far the thing that made me book here was the price and the location of the hotel. It was so close to the places we wanted to go. Especially Broadway at the Beach.

I can't wait to go back!
I booked this hotel because of the price (under $100 a night) and was totally wowed by the room! The decor was nice and clean ... and the room was very spacious, but I opened the balcony door and there was the pool and beyond that the beach and the ocean! Great location! It doesn't have continental breakfast, but the front desk even gave me a coupon to use at a resturant with a breakfast buffet that is within walking distance. Magnolia was delicious and very very reasonably priced. :)

Fantastic beach front
Relatives suggested the Best Western Carolinian Beach hotel as one of the hotels to stay in during our weekend there for a ... cousin's wedding. The hotel is quite simple and nice - not fancy - but the location is the best! Waking up each morning to see the ocean from the balcony was fantastic!! And walking along the beach at nice was so very calm and peaceful. I would definitely stay there again for a weekend of rest and relaxation.

Magnolia's just a block away closes at 9 but let us in at 8:58. Good real home grown food. The Spring House about 2 blocks away was willing to let us order from their lunch menu 30 minutes early because that was what our teens wanted to eat.

Avoid Magnolia's Cafe. The hotel recommend's this restaurant. We went there and the waitress stated she wouldn't recommend ordering off the menu, but instead eating at the buffet. The buffet had very limited choices and the food was not good. There are a bunch of other restaurants a short drive away.
