Great Rooms at Best Western Richmond

The hotel was terrific. They did however hike their prices for the LSU-Florida game. We gave $170 for a room worth around ... $100. I was just happy to have a room however!

If you are going to an LSU game, do not think of getting a taxi there and back. We waited 3 hours after the game before a taxi could even get to us. The police will not let them come down into the campus area.

This was our second stay at this hotel and plan to stay again. We had a reservation thru Orbitz (great) but when I checked ... out I was presented a receipt from the hotel. I went back to reception desk and was told it was a mistake and the credit card charge would be reversed (I'll be checking my cc statement).

To get to LSU campus, take College across I-10, which becomes Lee. Turn right on Highland Drive and within 5 minutes you are in the heart of the LSU campus.

A place to get away :)

A friend and I were staying there so we could go and take a test in the morning at the Pearson Vue testing center. Well, ... everything that could have gone wrong on the trip up there did, my car broke down, and it just went on and on. But once we got to the hotel we relaxed. We just had to walk across the street to take our test. SO it worked out perfect. Oh and the food was great!!! Thanks for making our trip worth something!!!

Loved the stay! Great hot free breakfast with fantastic service person. Great location with many services near at same ... exit: big UA theater, Barnes & Noble, Melting Pot fondue restaurant, other great restaurants. Only problem was pool water was too hot to swim during a heat wave - no way to cool down. We are repeat guests here - our favorite place to stay in Baton Rouge.

The hotel is located close to the areas which I have to tend to business in. It has easy access to all parts of Baton Rouge ... and is in a safe area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Rates in Baton Rouge are higher for the type of accomodation than in other City's. The amount of new hotels under construction should aid the pricing in the future.
