We have 3 children and one usually has to sleep in a sleeping bag on the floor when we stay in hotels, so bunk beds were a ... big hit for us. We spent one day at Disneyland using the hotel both the night before and the night after. It would be a LONG walk but we wanted to take our SUV with us anyway. Parking at the hotel was not a prob. as some have said - desk said only when there are big conf. there. Very clean - maid even laid out our kids blankets and cuddles when she made the beds. Will stay again!

Good Location, Bad Experience
Basketball Mom Nov 10, 2009
We were on this trip for a basketball tournament, the hotel exterior was nice. The beds were very uncomfortable, room had a ... smell to it, I saw a small cockroach in our room as we were settling in. The air conditioning when turned on it had a bad smell coming thru it. We didn't spend much time in our room but overall this whole experience was very unpleasantly exhausting.

Bed comfortable, but...........
stephansdad Nov 9, 2009
OK so the bed was comfortable, memo to staff, "one sign only is needed on the bed to remind us of the water shortage, not ... three" on each bed, total of six. I drive a Nissan Titan pick-up, certainly not over sized by any means and I'm not the neurotic type when it comes to another car being too close to mine, but the ordeal I had to go through to find parking was ridiculous. The parking spaces are extremely narrow, so the worry of scratches and dents carries on through the morning until you can check your vehicle, although if you were driving a Fiat 500 or Austin Mini you would feel a bit more comfortable. The rooms were clean, as though this is a surprise, they're supposed to be!!! The beds were comfortable, no musty smells and the location to Disneyland was good. The unfortunate trouble we experienced was the group of kids from one of those cheer leading/soccer galas kicking and banging on their friends door early on a Sunday morning with no staff members trying to look as though they would quiet it down. It took myself to walk across the parking lot, (200-300 feet) and confront the rowdy teens to quiet it down or police would be called whilst witnessing staff members slink back into the buildings hoping to not be noticed, It wasn't until I pointed out to the manager that the screens on the windows were "trashed" by the teens did they seem to care. So to sum it up, small parking spaces, not enough for entire hotel. Staff gives the " I don't want to get involved" feeling of security, certainly not a safe feeling if you have small children with you and close to Disneyland I guess that's the plus? Good luck on your stay.

Nice Hotel
Stacy Nov 9, 2009
The Raffles Inn is a nice hotel with good customer service. They upgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite and we could watch the ... Disneyland fireworks form the window. It was amazing! The free deluxe continental breakfast was much nicer than expected. In addition to coffee (not very good), juice, milk, donuts, pastries, fruit, cold cereal, hard boiled ages, toast and waffles. There are 2 waffle irons for self service. It was great!

Don't take the Shuttle to Disneyland. We had to wait 40 minutes to get picked up from the hotel and 35 minutes to go back. The driver drove way too fast and took the long way to get back.

Nice Rooms, Good Location
Archeoman Oct 26, 2009
My wife and I stayed at this hotel while going to Disneyland. The location was close and quite convenient to the theme parks ... and Downtown Disney. We liked the rooms. They were clean, well attended, and comfortable. The only minor disappointment was that the breakfast that was included was not as extensive as we have experienced at other Best Westerns. It was essentially a cereal and pastry offering, unlike other Best Westerns where there have been omelets and other hot food. This is a minor quibble, however. Our overall experience was quite good.

Downtown Disney is a great new addition to the Disneyland repetoire. The restaurants were good to very good, there was any type of souvenir shopping you could wish, and the open-air entertainment created a very nice ambiance.

We got the two room suite with bunk beds for the kids. That was great, and the beds were very comfy, but the air conditioner ... was in the bunk room, which was a bad idea. Our kids were cold and we were way too hot. Because of that, we did not sleep well, which is so unfortunate, as all other facets of the room were great. Free breakfast was a great perk.

For the price it was good. They have a nice continental breakfast. The people upstairs were noisy. It sounded like they ... were running and jumping. We were on the second floor and the elevator was quite the distance for 3 woman to try to get to the room. We only spent one night and went to Disney. It is about 4 blocks (long blocks) to walk.

We stayed here after a long day at Disney. This hotel is close (but not real close) to Disneyland. It's not the nicest or ... newest property but the staff was friendly and the room was clean. My biggest issue was that the parking lot was packed. I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time at this property but for a place to sleep overnight and leave early in the morning you can't beat the value.

We are season pass holders at Disneyland and frequently stay over to return to the park the next day. This was the best hotel ... experience we have had. The staff was a pleasure, the room was so clean you could eat off the floor. I will return here over and over again. With the economy the way it is we tried to spend less money for a room, we got so much more at this hotel for far less than any we have ever stayed in. Thank you for a great experience.

Great price for what you get in general. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location in a bit far if you have young ... children but since we have teenagers, it was OK. Especially far when you are tire after a long day. A good 15-20 min brisk walk. Those blocks were long.Breakfast was adequate with cereals, milk, juice, donuts, danishes. The gravy looked kinda scary so I was afraid to try.Get breakfast before 7:30a because it gets busy and crowded. Parking lot did not have enough spaces for all the guest so if you return late, you will have to doubled-park which means you will have to move your car if someone wants to leave early in the morning. The family suite was very spacious for the price.Decor a little dated. Good size frig.Sheets were very thin and well worn.AC was very noisy but it worked. Overall it was adequate for the price but nothing special to write home about.

This was a really nice hotel, even the carpets were clean. When we checked in they were quite busy, but they brought in ... another staff member to help and we were checked in right away. Same when we checked out. The hotel is very quiet the only thing is the parking, if you come in late, like we did after a day out parking could become a problem. There is a Denny's within walking distance (2 mins.) and if you are going to disneyland you will go by a IHOP along the way. All in all we would stay at this hotel again without a doubt.

IHOP just up the street, 2 minute walk, is a good family place to eat at more reasonable prices than Downtown Disney restaurants. Lots of well-known places within 10 minute walk or 2-minute drive.
