Nice with some weak points
Jamie Nov 14, 2009
Rooms are definitely very small, even for NYC standards, even in the Deluxe version. Very noisy unless you are lucky enough ... to get a room in the upper floors. Nice hype style and clean atmosphere. For the amenities, the coffee maker was disappointing and the free internet didn't work. The Ipod dock was a great asset. I wish the bed would have been more comfortable. All in all, a nice hotel with some weak points deserving consideration should you get a nice bargain.

Misfit Fiend sees a show in Times Square
Misfit Fiend Nov 2, 2009
The Best Western Hotel is a comfortable hotel within walking distance of Times Square. Keeping with the Presidential theme, ... you will see pictures of previous presidents adorning the walls, hallways and rooms. The rooms are fairly small but provide plenty of space for two guests. The beds are the best part of the room in my opinion. After spending the entire day walking around town they provide an extremely comfortable spot to retire. Stand next to it and just collapse on it and you will hear no creaks and feel the softest mattress that will make you feel like you are laying on a cloud. The hotel also provides guests with a bag check in case you arrive well before check-in time. You can have your bag checked and receive a ticket stub to redeem for your luggage upon return. This way you can walk around town without having to worry about carrying luggage around or worrying if its safe. There is also a bar/lounge area located just inside the front doors. The elevators did require a few minute wait from hitting the call button until the doors opened but only a minor inconvenience. All in all the Best Western Presidential Hotel is a great hotel to stay in the big city for a reasonable price.

tourists Oct 27, 2009
Good value for the money. Being tourists and spending little time in the room, the small room was not a problem. Only two ... small negatives come to mind. The towels, though nice in appearance were not absorbent. The help desk has airport shuttle times but during our inquiry, they neglected to tell us that reservations must be made the morning before in order to get a morning slot.

Great location, fair price, not perfect
Nick from OK Oct 27, 2009
The location and style of the hotel were great. Just a block and a half from Times Square! It's newly-remodeled, which may ... explain why some things didn't work (A/C, missing towels, slamming doors). The staff fixed our problems right away though. The breakfast downstairs was $15 so we skipped it.

first timer to NYC Oct 26, 2009
My stay at the Best Western President Hotel was in a great tourist location to be close to Times Square and the subway. Did ... find the Fire Hall a little noisy during the night as the fire trucks took off with the sirens going. I had to change rooms after my first night but not a big deal, they moved my things for me while I was out for the day. When I returned to my new room, the towels were not replenished for my friend and I. The room size is typical for New York, but very managable and very clean.
