Parking was pretty bad, if the main lot is full (and it will be on weekends and summer season) you have to park across the ... street in the smallest 3 deck parking garage I have EVER parked in. Good luck turning a car around in there. With that aside, I was booked in an Oceanfront room and the view was breathtaking. Overlooking the bustling boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean (even got to see some dolphins swim by). The restaurant was good (if you like seafood). Staff was extremely friendly. And finally, the hotel was pretty quiet for a Saturday night! The price was also unbeatable (room had a safe and refrigerator as well). Although the rooms were small.

Having a restaurant on location was very convenient! Great view from the room balcony! Free wireless internet-very convenient! Would highly recommend!!

Fantastic view of the ocean! Rooms were nice and clean but bathroom was a little small. It was okay though. Staff was very ... friendly and helpful. Had Sunday breakfast at Angelos and it was a little bit of a wait unless you got the buffet. All in all location great! Will come back next time and encourage family and friends to stay there as well.

we only stayed 1 night to visit relatives in VA Beach. Ask for a room facing onto the beach & walkway. Atlantic Ave is one ... hotel after another - they are all about the same quality. This was a great price. parking was right there. walk to restaurants, beach, etc. Fridge, micro, iron in room. bathrooms have new shower/tubs so it was clean. I was most surprised to get triple sheeting on the bed - I detest using blankets that are not covered up and never get washed often! otherwise, rooms were average, staff was average - location great & worth the $ as long as you're not expecting too upscale. I travel all the time & use 4-5 star hotels usually - this was a good value for 1-2 nights.

This was a great hotel for the price and location. We checked in late and there were no problems at all. The parking lot was ... full but there was another parking lot across the street. This hotel had everything the pool, game room, fitness room, laundry room and the staff was very nice and pleasant. The room had a wonderful view of the beach and the restaurant wasn't bad either.

The hotel was clean overall. When we booked the room did not realize the oceanview was across the street - looked nasty. We ... upgraded to oceanview. The parking was not located at the hotel. Seemed they catered to people coming in for the resturant? The mattress wasn't comfortable. The young lady at the front desk wasn't very friendly during check in and we seemed to cut into her chat time.

While the building is older, the interior and rooms have been refurbished and are very nice in the main section facing the ... ocean. I can't comment on the annex. Getting up a little early to take photos of the sunrise over the Atlantic from the balcony was a special treat. Immediate access to the boardwalk is a definite plus. The hotel restaurant service was fine. We would recommend the main hotel to anyone.

Our Story
Anniversary - VA Beach Homecoming Oct 18, 2009
1. The first room we were put in,,,, There was a steady stream of water coming out the faucet in the bathtub. We tried to ... turn it off, and the whole faucet fell apart into the tub. We called the front desk and they said they could move us. 2. The next room - There were food crumbs everywhere.. All over the rug, all over the top of the dresser, the desk, there was purple glitter all over the chair, crayon marks all over the wall and in the bathroom, the carpet was dusty and coming apart in various places. I had to clean off the top of the dresser in order to put something on it. I have never been checked into such a dirty room before. We called the front desk again and they could not move us until the next day. They did send someone to vaccum and he even said it was in bad shape. There was also a musty smell in the room and when I took a shower, the water was up past my ankles before I was done washing my hair. 3. The next day, the next room was cleaner and we thought we would be able to get a good nights sleep. At 12:00 am the banging and shouting started in the room next to us. I was pretty scared. They were loud and the banging was loud. They were even shouting off the balcony. We called the desk and they said they would send security up. At 4:00 am, the banging and shouting continued. We called the desk again, they said they would send security again. The banging, slamming and shouting contined until about 5:30 am. We have stayed at Best Westerns before in fact our first hotel as a married couple 27 years ago was at a Best Western. This hotel was way below the standards we are used to from Best Western. Our kids wanted to send us on a cruise for our anniversary, but we wanted to go to VA Beach in stead. We lived here years ago and loved it here and wanted to come back for a nice vacation. Our first 2 days of 5 days were not very relaxing.

Opted for the non-ocean facing room. The place looks creepy. Rooms are extremely smelly and the place is very noisy. had to ... complain to the manager at 1 AM in the night due to noise and he said he cannot help since he was out of rooms. Not even an apology. Only plus point i can think of is the location. The ocean front rooms might be good,but i would not opt for this hotel chain ever again!
