Nice room too far away from anything
vgstraveler Jul 20, 2009
The hotel lies about being 0.4 miles from the casino's. The walk to the casino's is horrible in vegas heat and not at all ... convenient. They need to offer shuttle service.

The famous Las Vegas strip is a short drive from this hotel, making it convenient for visitors to experience Vegas for it's Casinos/Shows. The hotel is also close to Lake Mead Blvd. which I found to be a wonderful main street to have every day conveniences such as shopping and restaurants.

Pool is out of commission
Traveller Apr 1, 2009
I selected this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had a pool. When I asked the clerk at checkin how late the pool ... was open till he said because it has been windy and cold up till yesterday the pool is not open. I walked by the pool on my way to my room and saw it was empty and is under repair. I wish Cheaptickets had a way to delete that amenity on the hotels home page until its repaired. I would have selected a different hotel. I found my room to be clean, comfortable and quiet. Although it is near a homeless shelter with many transients tenting on the sidewalk on Main st near the hotel, there were a large number of familys staying at the hotel with young children.

Inexpensive and friendly
Catherine Mar 14, 2008
Our stay at the Main Street Best Western was enjoyable. The room was of average size, with two queen sized beds, and night ... stands. It also had two dressers, a table with two chairs,a seperate room combining closet space with a sink and vanity. The bathroom was adjoining this room, with an extra sink. The resturant that was a walkthrough from the lobby was a good value, with good portion size and quality. The wait staff was helpful and courtious. The only two downsides to our stay was that the maid staff did not come back to clean or give us towels, when we overslept, the 1st morning there. We had to go to the front desk, with dirty towels in hand, in order to get clean towels. The other problem was location. Two blocks from skid row, and on the migratory path of the homeless. Considering that we were there for the shows etc. we were not around enough to really be bothered by this, especially considering the price. If you stay here you will need to rent a car!

Homeless neighborhood
Keith Sep 23, 2007
Motel is gated and barred for a reason. Neighborhood is teaming with homeless. There is a restaurant-bar attached to the ... motel which is convient for eating/drinking but can be exceptionally noisey, especially in NV which is a 24hr town/state. The rooms are not very well insulated and again in a 24hr town people getting in late(drunk and vomiting)can interfere with the sleep patterns. It was a business trip and I would probably not have noticed if it was for pleasure.

Clean, comfortable rooms & friendly staff
Sandy Jun 22, 2007
I shortened the length of my stay by two nights due to unforseeable circumstances, however, would have been more than happy ... to stay the full time due to the staff being very friendly at check-in, and the hotel workers being incredible nice when they would check to see if I needed more fresh towels, coffee, etc. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was great water pressure in the bathroom for showers/baths. Overall, I would highly recommend the Best Western Main Street Inn of Las Vegas to anyone looking for a nice room withing decent distance from the strip.
