Family weekend at NAU. The room was neat and clean. No real complaints, however the trains going by were a bit loud, ... especially when they sounded the whistle.

Most horrible experience in my life
sampath Sep 7, 2009
Hi, This is a horrible experience donot book hotels through ORBITZ. I booked the hotel through ORbitz telephone and got ... confirmation to my mail on 09/04/009 for 2 rooms. I went to the hotel on 09/05/2009 and got a surprise that no room booked on my name. Immediately I tried to reach ORBITZ but I could not get hold of customer service rep for almost 1 hr ( This is the service Orbitz provides if a customer in trouble). Then I tried my self to find a hotel in the night and I could 2 rooms at almost $400. Because of very bad experience we returned back to home in the morning and called orbitz. This is also again a big surprise that the Orbitz Manager told that it is the responsibility of customer to check the hotels booked properly or not. I asked for the difference amount I paid due to lack of room i.e $230 . Orbitz donot hold resposible of the services and more over they are only responsible for taking money from customers. This is a horrible experience donot book hotels through ORBITZ.

Flagstaff

Older hotel, nice room though, very spacious. The MAJOR drawback is that the train tracks are right accross the street. There ... were about 12 or so trains that went by us that night, blasting their horns each time. Loud enough to set off my car alarm. The continental breakfast was limited in variety, but nice enough to get us out on the road with something in our bellies. Would not stay here again, due only to the train.

Pretty darn decent

Pleasant place. Furnishings looked quite new. The interior of the rooms is much nicer than you'd guess from the outside of ... the place. Good sized fridge. Very hard mattresses! Room was the average size you'd expect, but I felt the way the bathroom was laid out made it feel a little roomier. Good hot shower. Like everyone else sleeping in Flagstaff, you will hear the trains.

No Pool, No Service
aammm Jul 6, 2009
We chose the hotel for the pool as we have kids and the pool was out of service. The room was fine when we got there, clean ... and comfortable but the cleaning service left a lot to be desired. They made up one bed,but not the other, no clean towels, they just hung our dirty ones back up. There was one garbage can with a liner and after they "cleaned" our room, they didn't add another liner so we had to find our own. But the room is eco-friendly, which we appreciated. The view is great. One suggestion, have chairs outside the rooms so guests can sit out and enjoy the view and the weather.

Great Flagstaff Location
World Traveler Jul 5, 2009
The hotel was a good location for visiting our friends in Flagstaff. Just about any hotel is going to have noise from the ... trains, so this one was no exception. Other hotel guests could have been more considerate during the night, but it was the 4th of July weekend which made for some enthusiatic revelers.
