Experience overall was extremely enjoyable. Location was right in the heart of Lincoln Park, within walking distance to the ... free Lincoln Park Zoo. Suite was large and very accommodating with a full kitchen, however the bathroom was a bit on the small side. Staff was nice and would definitely stay there again.

we stayed 4 nights at the hotel. great stay. very good service. received during this time 2 packages without any problems. ... rooms very clean and big. we had a queen bed standard room. in fact it had 1 livingroom with eating corner and computer corner and fantaqstic view over the lincoln park and lake michigan and the skyline including hancock center. 1bedroom with tv. 2 bathrooms. 1 inlcuding shower and jacuzzi. if you book this hotel you dont need a car at all. just buy a pass for cta and you can reach everything very fast.bus 151 which brings you to hancock center, sears tower, milenium park and michigan ave stops 1 min from the hotel. if you like walking you even do not need a bus pass. we walked on 1 day over 10 miles from milenium park and grant park to soldier field than to navy pier and hancock tower and from then home.forgot to mention free wireless internet in the room!lincoln park zoo just acrooss the street. fantastic city.fantastic stay

Home Away From Home!
Kari Oct 5, 2009
This was the perfect location for enjoying the Lincoln Park area; the zoo across the street, the restaurants, shopping all ... within walking distance. Also close to downtown, with a beautiful view from the rooftop deck and the room. All employees that we encountered went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was excellent and above the normal. While the only hotel parking was valet, you might get lucky like we did and snag a street parking spot.

The hotel has an ideal location. The rooms are very spacious with lots of closet space. Unfortunately the staff (the only ... one we had contact with was front desk) is the worst I have seen ever. Definitely they need to be trained in customer care.

We were very happy with our stay. We were given an upgrade to a presidential suite and it was just beautiful. Great ... location, staff was friendly and helpful. Asked for and received a late check out. Loved the location and view of Lincoln Park. The only thing that could be improved was that the bed was very hard. Lobby was amazing! We will definitely stay at Belden Stratford again.

The Best Time!!
Soulless Samantha Sep 27, 2009
We went to Chicago to go to a show downtown and since we were coming from out of town, we got a room. Well actually, they ... didn't have what I ordered online so we got a free upgrade to an apartment in this place!! It was awesome! We checked in when we got to town but no time for the room before the show. So we left and came back in the middle of the nite. No matter what time day or nite we talked to someone, they were the nicest people working at this place!! This place was close to the water and the venue we went to. The venue was less than 4 miles away. Check out was noon which was great! We got to sleep in and have breakfast and hot showers before we left for our day in the city of Chicago! We all really had a great time on our visit to Chicago (staying in a nice place Always helps) and can't wait to do it again! We love the fact that this place we stayed at was built in 1922!! Love the older bulidings! This place was just Beautiful!!!

The best deal in Lincoln Park
sunny Sep 20, 2009
This has to be the best deal in Chicago! The hotel is in Lincoln Park, directly across from the zoo and gardens. Walking ... distance to everything. It has been completely refurbished, and our "room" was a spacious one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and a huge bedroom with 2 queen beds, magnificent views, for an amazingly low price. And breakfast was included! We will definitely return, probably for a much longer stay.

Like hotels used to be
Sandy Sep 18, 2009
Elegant looking hotel. Rooms were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We got lost getting there because of the mix ... up in the street names (Lincoln Park West not W. Lincoln Ave) and the front desk person was patient in directing us the right way through the Chicago traffic. Close to green space which is respite from the busy city. Reminded me of the way hotels used to look.

B&K Sep 16, 2009
Nice upgrade at time of check-in. Was given a suite which was very nice. The room was spacious, clean but the bathroom ... fixtures were worn. The valet parking seemed high at $38/day and when I had to get my car at 6:30AM this morning, I was told I had to go get my car at a nearbye parking lot if I wanted it before 7AM. To make matters worse, the hotel paid $12/day at the nearbye parking lot as evidenced by a receipt left on the dash but charged me $38/day.
