Great location and nothing more!
Fullautolover Nov 7, 2009
Rooms are old and way outdated. Room has a full size range but no pots or pans, it came with 2 spoons, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 ... plates, 2 bowls 2 coffee cups and a mini-fridge. Has no coffee pot, toaster, microwave, pots, pans, utensils, hair dryer, iron, or ironing board. We had a table on our balcony but only one chair with it. The bed has a thin sheet, a thinner blanket and no comforter. They have now started remodeling some of the rooms and the pictures look nice but I think I would wait until they are done or you may run and hide. The worst version of a kitchenette I have ever seen. The restaurant they had is closed and they have a continental breakfast in the morning with toast, orange juice (Nasty stuff) coffee , cereal, toast and some melon. The pool bar was never open, pool was in the shade most of the day and the hot tub was anything but hot! (about 85 degrees) They have wireless internet in the lobby and depending where your room is you can get in Casa Dorado's wireless from across the street. Now to the good points, the staff is nice and you are a block from Medano Beach but it is a steep hill to get back to the hotel. That's it.

bahia hotel is an older, but lovely hotel. it's location is awesome - only a short walk down the street to the best section ... of medano beach. convenience stores on each corner of the hotel, easy access to restaurants and downtown. staff were very friendly, helpful, and easygoing. the hotel is under some construction so there was a little noise, but not too bad. with that< there is no restaurant available at this time, and service in the pool area, but continental breakfast included it was very sufficient with plenty of fruit, cereals, yogurt, breads, juice, tea, coffee. room spacious everything worked properly. i surprised to even find a kitchenette unit - not that cooked, great have mini-fridge available. am looking forward staying there again! also delighted when concierge arranged private taxi for my return airport price most appreciative service.

up the street from bahia hotel is casa rafael, which is a very small boutique hotel. they have a very fine restaurant with a piano bar which offers 'ladies night' on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays with complimentary wine and half price appetizers - ask for jorge!

Wonderful Stay
ILuvCabo Aug 31, 2009
We went to the Beach everyday. Just a short walk to paradise. We spent most of our time at the Medano Beach Club. It was ... relaxing and peaceful. The staff was friendly and extremely attentive. Dinning on the beach with your feet in the sand, watching the sun set and listening to the smooth sounds of live music made you forget all of your troubles. Downtown was also a short walk from the Hotel. We were able to walk to town every night and enjoy shopping, dancing, eating, and people watching. The only thing missing was a bar and restaurant at the hotel. There weren't many tourist during our time so it made sense that those amenities not be available. I would definitely go back.

We stopped at Walmart and bought drinks and snacks that we took to the beach in our pop-up cooler. It allowed us to save money on the little things so that we could splurge on activities and other special treats.

Waaaaaay Worth It!!!!

I went to Cabo San Lucas for 5 days 4 nights with a group of friends, and had an Awesome time. The hotel was in a Premium ... Spot, super close to the Beach, and a short walk to all the clubs and shopping centers. No need for a Taxi. The staff was amazingly nice and helpful, ESPECIALLY [...]. He set up a bunch of activities for the group I was with, including Snorkeling, Glass Bottom boat ride, The Booze Cruise, and Jet Skiing. He knew every hot spot and not once did he let us down! I had a blast partying out there and will be setting up another trip through Orbitz.com soon.

IMPROVEMENTS MADE
Retired Jim Apr 23, 2009
A year ago I stayed at the Bajia and this year was a noticable difference. Free breakfast, bartender by pool, bartender ... inside with 2 for 1 happy hour, friendly staff. The location is great for the beach, marina, and resturants. They were paving the steets, a great improvment over the dirt roads. Try it, you'll like it. Good price too.

My week in Cabo
Josh Apr 19, 2009
I arrived at the Airport and was met by the shuttle driver. We took a pleasant ride to my hotel with a few stops on the way. ... I checked in, being greeted by the friendliest staff. I put my bags in my room and then the magic began. I spoke with the houseman and the front desk supervisor and also the time share salesman about all the fun things to do while I was there. I am single and just wanted to stay busy. They were all most helpfull with arranging my activities. All I had to tell them was what day I wanted to do what and they arranged for a shuttle and booked my activity. While I was in Cabo I went ATV Tour, Baja Buggy, Horseback Riding, Whale Watching, Sunset Cruz, Canopy Tour, Shopping, Ate at wonderful restauraunts, enjoyed the nightlife, and most of all felt great about going back to the Bahia. The location is great for an easy safe walk back to your room at night. I have toured a few of the other hotels, and if you dont want to have to rent a vehicle, this is the place to stay. Minute walk to the beach, minute walk to the mall, minute walk to the marina, 15 minute walk to La Playa Grande. I liked this trip so much I am recreating it for 5 extra days this year. Except this time I am reserving my room by phone.

Great value, if a little rustic
Classic Brit Mar 3, 2009
Hotel no longer has its own restaurant, although several are close by. Each room has AC, but not central as advertised. Great ... continental breakfast. Shower drained slowly and the sink had no stopper. Friendly and helpful staff; overall a great value for the money.

value for your money
Akshay Dec 29, 2008
The hotel is a block from the beach and other water activities. There is no view of the beach from the hotel. The roads are ... dirt roads and noisy from the beach traffic. The rooms are small and there were plumbing problems in the room. Also, the ceiling fan was not working. The hotel staff fixed both problems on first day. There was no phone or clock in the room. The price was reasonable. The staff was very friendly. The pool was cold and the hot tub did not work. If you're not planning on spending a lot of time in your room, or if you are staying for a short period of time, i would recommend this hotel.
